It's crazy. With all the unintentional opioid abuse nowadays, you never know. I know plenty of people that have died way too young from overdoses. It's scary as *****. And now they are cutting everything with fentanyl, which is claiming more lives by the day. I really hope it was not connected to something like that. Just find it strange how he just disappeared from the NFL. Prayers up for everyone affected.

That's the scary part. You could be the healthiest person by way of exercise and diet, who doesn't drink, do drugs or smoke and drop dead for no reason other than genetics. Or just because. Life is very precious and should be taken one day at a time.

There are a lot of reports right now about it being due to a car accident. Way too early overall but we can probably chill on the overdose, etc. talk for the time being. There's a very good chance that this legend who was well known for giving to the community just died from complications due to a car accident. Awful.

Apparently some of his ex-teammates said he suffered from seizures. That could very well be related to the car accident reports.

This is crazy. Now, according to family members, he had a seizure while taking a shower. Just have to wait until the official report comes out. So ***** sad!!!

The latest I can find is that this "stems from a medical issue" so it's far from clear exactly what happened, but that eliminates things like car crash, drugs, and suicide IMO, making everyone's guesses above wrong.

 

"Preliminary information is that his death stems from a medical issue, and our investigators currently have no reason to believe otherwise," said Officer Tim Lupo, public information officer for the police department in Roswell, Georgia.

 

Of course, this assumes the reporting is sound and that the PIO is accurate with what he's telling the press.

Here's the latest.  Suspected to be do to a medical complication from his car wreck in 2019 where he flipped it over going 70 in a 30.

Damn.  A teammate of mine just passed a month ago from a seizure.  He was eating at the moment the episode happened, food was in his mouth/throat which closed his airway when he was unconscious.
