All of the anti-Ukranian trash you post from X "batters" at Ukraine.  Why not post videos of Russians rounding up conscripts?  Why not post videos or stolen Ukranian children?  Yeah...right

 

Absolutely think the leadership by Starmer and Macron is great.  Unfortunately, it took a complete implosion of US leadership to get Europe there.  What you don't grasp, in the midst of all your pearl clutching, is that when the shooting stops there MUST be a viable road for Ukraine and their independence and a real deterrence against Russian aggression clearly laid out in any deal.  100% for a great peace deal.  Looks like the US is out on that one though through the abject failure of our current leadership.  They would rather stand on the side of the fence and hurl insults while sharing a smoke with Vlad.

Anecdotal but look at any pro-left meeting/protest right now.. it’s filled with white haired boomers for Ukraine or overweight white women and minorities for Palestine.  Thats it.  That’s their base now.

 

Young white women are moving right more than they have in a long time and joining young white men who are skyrocketing right.. most of this is due to push back against politically correct culture, but now you’re also seeing the military age demo of this country realize that this war isn’t a game. 
 

Combine this with Hispanics becoming a toss up and black men slightly ticking more right than they have, and this is how you get the numbers Trump (and Republicans) now have. 
 

No stronger evidence of how the parties have shifted than the fact Trump struggles more than R’s ever have with the AARP crowd, but does better than R’s ever have with younger demos.

I am actually curious why so many people are so gung ho to send troops to Ukraine when I don't remember many asking for it  before Trump became president? If you have been consistent for the past 3 years I simply missed it but the commitment to the cause seems to have shifted with Trump in office.

It's the argument that if Russia wins in Ukraine, then they'll take all of Europe next. And then the US will have to go fight Russia when Russia triggers Article 5. 

 

Which I would totally buy, if by wins he means Russia rolls right through and takes Kyiv in a matter of days. 

 

But if he means by win Russia keeping an inch of land in the Dumbass, then that's very hard to believe. 

 

Imagine Putin thinking, hey look we won 10-20% of the border regions in three years. Let's go for all of Europe next! Straight from Donetsk to the Danube!  

 

Not seeing it. Putin's the big loser, after the dead in Ukraine and the dead Russians. Biden's admin locked them into a stalemate. But that also means Ukraine can't win.

 

So Zelensky is saying you have to fund us indefinitely to fight in perpetuity, because we won't accept the loss of an inch of land. And if you stop funding us, Russia might take all of Ukraine. And then you're next!

 

But it's funny. If Ukraine accepts a peace deal and the active fighting winds to a halt, then the conditions for the suspension of the Ukrainian elections are no longer met. So Zelensky has a major conflict of interest. He gets to keep power for as long as the fighting continues.
