They want WWIII

I want women eligible for drafts here, and in every NATO country.

If the globalists can even define what that is.

Been saying this since 2022 PBD

Zelensky’s Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad, No Good Day

By Clarice Feldman

FTA:

The week ended with a blowup of what was supposed to be the signing of an agreement between the Ukraine and the U.S., a preliminary step for opening negotiations with Russia to end the war. How you view the consequences of the blowup seems like an inkblot test: If you see the U.S. abandoning a faithful ally, you probably are a Democrat. If you see Volodymyr Zelensky as an arrogant grifter who overplayed his hand, you probably aren’t.

Luckily the entire meeting is available on video so you can see for yourself the context in which the last few minutes occurred. Those few minutes being the only thing most viewers saw.

Not without basis, President Trump believes that China, not Russia, is a bigger threat to this country and disengaging Russia from this fight will further our chances of drawing Putin away from alliances with China.

Not without reason, the President believes the war is a meat grinder, an ongoing stalemate which could well lead to World War III if Ukraine is admitted to NATO and more weaponry and manpower from elsewhere are poured into the conflict.

Not without reason, the President thinks both Russia and Ukraine have suffered substantial human and economic losses which will only continue unless both sides make some concessions and none of the suggested concessions he has hinted at supporting jeopardize either country’s vital interests.

Not without reason, the President wants to know to what use Ukraine put all the billions of dollars we gave them to defend itself from Russia.

Zelensky has three times indicated a willingness to sign an agreement with us, granting us mineral rights. The president thinks that once we establish that we have these interests in Ukraine, Putin will not further attack. Zelensky, doubtless egged on by those who wish the war to continue, wants a promise of more concrete security guarantees -- i.e., NATO troops on the ground and more military equipment -- but he nevertheless agreed to sign on to this, once in a meeting with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant when he said he’d sign at Munich, again in a second meeting at Munich when he said he'd sign at Washington, and a third time when he was invited to do so in the Oval Office.

Having pledged three times to do so, in a public meeting in the White House (in which disrespectfully he appeared in some kind of athleisure wear) he regularly interrupted the president, insisted once again on a firm security pledge, not only the mineral rights agreement. He rolled his eyes, shook his head, and brought his country’s ambassador to tears with his performance. Finally, he was escorted out of the White House without an opportunity to enjoy the luncheon planned for him.

The post-signing press conference which had been scheduled was cancelled. Zelensky clearly misjudged his bargaining strength or the consequences of this stunt.

I’m quite sure his fanciful overestimation of his strength and the U.S. support for him was due to people like Antony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, and Alexander Vindman, who reportedly encouraged this intransigence to come to terms, and equally toothless and discredited EU officials and members.

{snip}

Here’s my take: A clear-eyed, masterful negotiator looked at the field, came up with what he believes is the best available deal for his client (us) and the world and a posturing midget egged on by arrogant armchair warriors failed to grab it. Instead,  Zelensky used this opportunity to insult his strongest benefactor and seems stunned to learn that was a stupid move. If this administration had a coat of arms, it would be encircled by a motto reading “FAFO.”

WHY ZELENSKY CANNOT MAKE PEACE

Zelensky’s meltdown in the Oval Office began over his refusal to accept

a negotiated settlement to the war. Even the Vice President’s use of the

word “diplomacy” provoked a heated response.

So why can’t Zelensky make a peace deal?

1) He will lose power.

Zelensky cancelled elections in Ukraine and remains in power through martial law.

Despite what USAID propaganda polls may claim, Zelensky is unpopular

in Ukraine and would likely lose a fair election. That could leave him vulnerable

to retaliation from political opponents he has imprisoned or seized assets from.

In short, Zelensky needs the war to justify his continued rule.

2) The gravy train will end.

Ukraine was widely acknowledged as the most corrupt country in Europe

before the war, and there is abundant evidence that Ukrainian elites have

been hugely profiting from the billions in Western aid. If the war ends,

so does the gravy train. A post-war audit of where the money went would

also be disastrous for Zelensky’s supporters.

3) He fears the ultra-nationalists.

Most Ukrainians say they want the war to end, but the ultra-nationalist

faction (a relative minority but well-armed and willing to use violence to

achieve their ends) refuses to accept any territorial concessions to Russia.

If Zelensky signs such a deal, he has reason to fear for his safety.

4) He’s psychologically committed.

Zelensky’s belief in ultimate victory over Russia has “hardened into a

form that worries some of his advisors,” according to a report by

TIME Magazine, which described Zelensky’s faith as “immovable,

verging on the messianic.” According to one of Zelensky’s aides,

“He is delusional. We’re out of options. We’re not winning. But try telling him that.”

Zelensky may be in too deep to see the situation objectively.

5) History will judge him harshly.

Zelensky could have accepted a draft peace deal signed in the first month

of the war, the Istanbul Accords, under which Ukraine would have kept

all of its territory in exchange for neutrality. A deal now will likely be

modeled on Istanbul but require Ukraine to recognize realities on the

ground (ie loss of territory). Acknowledging that hundreds of thousands

of Ukrainians have died only to get a worse deal may be too bitter

a pill for Zelensky to swallow, now or ever.

In summary,

Zelensky has powerful motivations to reject a deal, no matter

how bad the battlefield realities get. His incentive is to continue a

doomed war even if it leads to the complete destruction of Ukraine.

Instead of offering unconditional support, Zelensky’s supporters

in the West should be urging him to seek a diplomatic off-ramp.

Certainly they should stop catering to his unrealistic and maximalist

demands.

As Solzhenitsyn said, the yes-man is your enemy, but a friend will argue with you.

American troops should not be deployed onto mainland Europe. Germany as a world superpower has the right to a buffer from non-Aryan influence and to exert its influence on its neighbors with military might. Do you idiots really want to cause a second Great War?

You are fixated on arguing about something entirely off-topic, simply to defend someone you didn't even vote for. What exactly are you trying to prove? Relevance? You have none.

I'm nit fixated on anything.

If your are talking about Soleimani, it was you you brought him up.

I merely pointed out the reason he was targeted, and that was an extremely valid target.

I have no interest in defending Trump.

I do have an interest in pointing out nonsense, like "fine people," suggesting he was stupid or aggressive to target a guy who was planning on killing numbers of Americans, and has led operations like that in the past.

Claiming that a midair at DCA nine days after the inauguration during an operation that had been going on for years is somehow the result of the new Administration's policy is total ignorance.

And I've never mentioned the ridiculous legal actions against him, politicians running on a claim that they should be elected so they can "get" him, trying to keep him off the ballot in a few states and other nonsense that wasted time and was not done to others.

The fact that I didn't vote for him does not disqualify me from stating those things.

As far as "relevance," this forum has no relevance whatsoever.

It's an outlet that allows some interested people to put their views forward, but that has absolutely no relevance.

Like most people here, I suppose, I lead a relatively busy life with family, friends and community work.

This nonsense has no relevance on any of that, and you and your wingman, least of all.

If Europe wants to go to war with Russia, it’s highly probable that Trump will get public backing in the US to pull out of NATO.

I don’t know that he ever would, but Europe is playing a dangerous game right now.

Yup.  It's a game that we started by choice because...reasons?

All Trump had to do was twist arms behind the scenes to get Europe to do what he wanted.  He's got the exact same leverage in private as he does in public to threaten withdrawals, tarrifs, whatever his little hear desires.

Instead, he chose to make grandiose statements, snide lectures, and public threats.  Now the EU is scrambling to centralize power in itself and remilitarize, not on the basis of an alliance with US interests, but because they think they're on their own and it's time to tool up.

Of course Trump has to support the AFD and other Eurosceptics...because if they don't keep pulling Europe apart at the seems, this whole strategy blows up his face, and we end up with a centralized European megastate with it's own military capability and an agenda that is divorced from ours.

Genius ***** diplomacy! Nothing ever goes wrong when Europe centralizes power and rearms itself!  Europe is famously peaceful! We Americans have NEVER experienced blowback from hasty moves and picking fights we don't have to!

Europe is famously peaceful, just like the US and North America are. Because of the USA.

In their warped minds it will be Trump’s fault.

Globalist Puppet Zelenskyy isn’t allowed to make a deal that doesn’t involve Russia’s complete withdrawal - and other terms Russia and no nation would ever meet.

And absolutely in no way are they going to allow a massive foreign policy victory for Trump - as they blame him for not stopping their own preordained outcome.

So WWIII it is then.  And they’ll blame Trump.

Please let that all sink in.
