Ukraine shaking things up in Kursk (and other places across the boarder seems to be having an effect… what the old saying “how do you go bankrupt, slowly then all at once?”

Russian milbloggers are reporting the discovery of Ukrainian troop concentrations in Zaporizhizhya. They think Ukraine is going to make another run at last year's objectives.

This would be a Bad Idea if the Surovikin Line defences haven't been reduced, Russian reserves are still intact, and the minefields there remain uncleared.

Time will tell.

Maybe just Ukraine using their inner lines to move troops around forcing Russia to respond using their collapsing RR infrastructure? Still seeing reports of the Russian rail system in chaos.

Hearing troubling news that Belarus may attack Ukraine.  Could be Putin grasping at anything he can as Ukraine pushes deeper and deeper into Russian land.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-calls-belarus-pull-back-forces-border-2024-08-25/

There's been posturing before, could be the same thing.  However, former Wagner troops were sent to Belarus.  They'd be the only troops really worth much as Belarus' army would be even worse than Russias.  I'm very curious what Poland would do if Belarus attacked Ukraine.  Poland has been really worried about Russian aggression and beefed up their army considerably.  A strong argument can be made they have the best army in Europe right now.  There have been a lot of Belarussian provocation toward Poland, likely something Putin has instigated.

Do the Ukrainians have any supersonics? Cause that seems to be the Russians MO. Flood the region with drones and dummy bombs to overwhelm the defense systems, then have a supersonic strike the target.  But then again, does Russia even have a top line air defense system?  like an iron dome or patriot?

Tell me again about how smart & cool Putin is. Tell me again how great the Russians are. How Ukraine should “make peace with them”. Tell me how this won’t happen here. Monsters they must be stopped and we must do more to support the Ukrainians.

No to the Ukraine supersonic capability.

Yes to the Russian air defense system.

do people not understand how AI-assisted images work? Like, the 3mins it takes to fact check this is really not too difficult. But hit share instead I guess…critical thinking is dead.

Not everybody.

There are a lot of posters that believe critical thinking means believing in "experts" paid for their views by the powers in charge and never questioning anything the government and the MSM tells them to believe. They are what I might call "drones".

That’s a weird reaction to a video of a Russian soldier being cruelly tortured by his Russian commander and rescued by the UAF.

It's the same on both sides, pick your parentheses.  Critical thinking involves being open to all sources and judiciously distilling your most educated guess where the truth lies.  Almost always, bits and pieces are in both sides.

The problem you have is one side enjoys finger pointing at the other while never turning it on themselves.
