SoCal Deek Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 If we have this many countries seeking asylum just since Biden took office shouldn’t somebody be asking what our Secretary of State does all day? How did all of these countries suddenly fall apart? Did I miss a bunch of wars? Is religious persecution on the rampage? 1

Would that drive Russia to seek peace? I have no idea, and neither does anyone else on this site. The fact is that the man is an out of control maniac who seems to have no concern for civilian death as he attempts to create an impossible legacy. Those people are better off gone. Please don't extend this view to a conclusion that the US should do it. That point has not been made. 1

I was being snarky. at the end of this, 95% of them will benefit from the asylum packages, but be denied long term asylum or citizenship for the reasons you stated.

You’re supposed to seek asylum in the country directly bordering on your own. It’s not supposed to be ‘country shopping’. 1

Yep and for those who don’t own a globe, Venezuela is nowhere near Mexico. You’d have to have crossed through about eight countries before you’d get to our southern border. 1

B-Man Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 (edited) Ah. Remember the early days of this war of choice where if you pointed out the obvious money laundering and corruption potential inherent in giving the most corrupt, cesspool of a nation unlimited blank checks was deemed…. “Supporting Putin”.
