Nobody can guarantee that. But Ukraine was moving towards democracy and away from autocracy. Which is why the 2014 invasion happened. Supporting them is supporting a hope for a democratic future. Opposing them is supporting a slide back to autocracy. Plus, supporting them also greatly harms one of our most significant adversaries. So, bonus!

Just big companies keeping the big war business going and those pockets filled with those sweet unchecked government checks. Remember if you ask for a detailed report on the spending you support Russia so don’t dare ask!

There is no way it takes less than 6 months to get tank crews proficient on the operation of the tanks and, more importantly, a crew of maintenance operators proficient at the maintenance of the extremely complex tanks. Where is Ukraine going to order these parts from? They have no logistical infrastructure to support them. Do tanks even make sense when one does not have air superiority? 12 hours ago, ChiGoose said: It really isn't. That's what the whole revolution was about and why Putin was pissed at them. The euro maiden? the one with Nolan handing out cookies in the crowd? Pick a country reporting on that topic, and it changes dramatically.

reddogblitz
This is great that GB is sending 20 tanks and Germany 20 and us 31. However they are all different and use different parts. So that's 3 different groups of Ukrainians that will get trained up. But they won't know about the other 2. Same goes for mechanics. Three supply lines for parts. The Abrams runs on jet fuel so 1 supply line for jet fuel and 1 for diesel. And then getting them to the battlefield is no small feet either. And that's if Russia does find out where they are and bomb them before they can be used. How is this all gonna work? I suppose this also means we will be shipping them a lot of jet fuel and an endless supply of ammunition. Has anyone considered the environment impact of all this?
