Russia's on the ropes, we don't need to keep robbing the taxpayers so the elites have a place to launder their warmonger money. Give Ukraine maybe 5 billion, not 55 billion. That's ridiculous. It's your line of thinking that has Mac and cheese at $5 dollars a box, a Toyota Camry at $48,000 dollars and Taylor swift tickets for $87,000 dollars. Enough with the stupidity already. To make a long story short. By May 2023, Ukraine will have had time to repair and refurbish the mountains of weapons it's captured from Russia. Russia will have had time to fortify its positions and flood Ukraine with poorly trained, badly lead, badly equipped cannon meat. So May is when we find out who wins, Ukrainian quality or Russian quantity. I expect the arrival of good war weather in May has more to with this issue than the economist's analysis. Not Ukrainian Orthodox Church , banning Russian Orthodox Church that are in Ukraine Ukraine to prepare law banning churches 'affiliated' with Russia KYIV, Dec 2 (Reuters) - The Ukrainian government will draw up a law banning churches affiliated with Russia under moves described by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as necessary to prevent Moscow being able to "weaken Ukraine from within." In a move condemned in Moscow, Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council told the government to draft the law following a series of raids on parishes that Kyiv says could be taking orders from Moscow as Russia wages war on Ukraine. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-orders-probe-into-russian-linked-church-says-zelenskiy-2022-12-01/ The Real Reason the Russian Orthodox Church’s Leader Supports Putin’s War This month in Russia, Kirill, a powerful bishop who has been the patriarch of Moscow and primate of the Russian Orthodox Church since 2009, came out once again in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s killing machine in Ukraine. Kirill’s view is that God is on Russia’s side, even as Putin’s forces bomb maternity hospitals and the bodies of mutilated men, women, and children are discovered in Ukrainian towns recently occupied by Russian troops, such as Bucha. But the current war in Ukraine is not the first time Kirill has condoned bloodshed. He also saw Putin’s destruction of Syrian cities such as Aleppo, when Russia entered the Syrian war, in Crusader terms: as a fight against infidels. https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/04/26/ukraine-war-russian-orthodox-church-support-patriarch-kirill-homophobia/

Zelensky has dissolved the media, banned free speech, banned opposition political parties and is now banning opposition religious institutions. All while still supporting Azov and having plenty of documented human rights abuses being leveled at the Ukrainian army themselves. War is ugly, and Russia is in the wrong, but Zelensky isn’t some sympathetic figure.. he’s systemically enforcing authoritarian tactics while we just keep sending him money. In a never ending proxy war that will only keep getting people killed.

My opinion….We really need to leave established houses of worship out of these conflicts.
