In his first public remarks on the proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow supports the idea but insists on receiving its own security guarantees, according to a report from ABC News.

 

U.S. and Ukrainian officials reached an agreement on a 30-day ceasefire during talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earlier this week. 

 

"Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take this step. The United States of America needs to convince Russia to do so," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. "We agree, and if the Russians agree, the silence will take effect at that very moment. An important element in today's discussions is America's readiness to restore defense assistance to Ukraine and intelligence support."

 

Putin reportedly thanked Trump "for his attention to Ukraine's settlement" early in his remarks on Thursday. "We believe that this ceasefire should lead to a long-term peace and eliminate the initial causes of this crisis," Putin said.

Biden's crew crapped their pants with their approach to this conflict and somebody has to clean up the mess now. And hint, it would never have started absent the meddling with the internal affairs of Ukraine by Nuland & the Dept of State along with the CIA. 

 

And Afghanistan was Biden's mess too. Although it was started with the Bush morons. For starters, he ignored military commanders recommendations not to surrender Bagram airbase instead of taking the fatal risk of running evacuation operations from the Kabul airport. You're going to tell me that was Trump's idea? He was long gone and out of the decision loop when it came to task level decisions. Biden was under no obligation to adhere to any deal the Trump administration made just like he wasn't under any obligation to keep the border secure when they decided to drop all of our defenses and open the floodgates. 

 

And Syria? Its now run by bloodthirsty Islamic terrorists that US war hawks labelled as moderates. That worked out great too.

Will be interesting to see how this works out. Pooty Poot has all the cards.  If he really wanted a peaceful end all he has to do is retreat and bring his troops home.  Everyone in the world wants it to end except him and he's the only one who can stop it.
