Oh, our side is a farce? Sounds like a Fascist take on the issue

Fascism has nothing to do with it.  An alliance should be fair and provide benefits to all its members.  Does this look like a fair and equitable alliance?  The US has been paying more than its fair share for years.  Wouldn't you rather see the EU countries pay more and the US to have money for social programs like college loan forgiveness?

The table is really informative. What’s amazing is how small all of those countries are. I mean even look at Canada. For their individual size, they sure do yap a lot!

Going to war over Ukraine would be monumentally stupid.  Which, given this Admin, means...

So was Austria, it was really German anyway, so was Poland, So was Belgium, So was France etc etc.

It is the judgement and knowledge of what the real future holds and what power you hold to control it that is most important.

Is Taiwan next and an alliance by 2 huge communist countries put the world in jeopardy.

Germany and Japan were bad, Russia and China are 10 times worse.

It's amazing how much more the US contributes.

The company I work for is owned by a French conglomerate.  Every August I get pissed when all the US employees are working and the facilities in France are shut down for the summer recess.

Just think of it this way.  One of the primary purposes of NATO is to provide a buffer between the US and Russia so when the hostilities start and all those vacationers in France get blown off the face of the Earth you won't feel so bad anymore.

You do know that the way of life in the US is wonderful right. Well, people in France, Italy, Britain, etc thing there way of life is equally wonderful.

You laugh when their quality of life issues are different. They question why you spend so much time at work then die. Both sides are have their points.

The real difference is that Europeans because of proximity see different cultures where the US population generally only know their own culture.

When NATO started the US was a dominate force in Europe by design. They have a disproportionate share as a result but also to protect their own military secrets often not shared with NATO allies. Today maybe the US is unfairly carrying a burden, but history showed they wanted to, not forced to.

Keeping the democracies of the world in an economic strong position was protection for the US. Isolation does not work. It us coming to another Democracy vs Communism battle. Round 1 went to US and allies. Round 2?

Reagan had Communism on its knees, then US foreign policy failed. Clinton was a joke, more interested in being Epsteins pal. Obama wins a Peace prize for winning an election, 😆 Bush 1 understood, Bush thought he dud but was used by the military contractors.

Anyway, Euros are good people, suffering from invasions from Africa, from liberal policies on immigration, from not trusting the US policies made worse by trump.

We may all suffer the consequences

Except that we have nukes before the war theoretically starts.  Much different calculus than last time.

The Biden administration is threatening to use a novel export control to damage strategic Russian industries, from artificial intelligence and quantum computing to civilian aerospace, if Moscow invades Ukraine, administration officials say.

The administration may also decide to apply the control more broadly in a way that would potentially deprive Russian citizens of some smartphones, tablets and video game consoles, said the officials.

Such moves would expand the reach of U.S. sanctions beyond financial targets to the deployment of a weapon used only once before — to nearly cripple the Chinese tech giant Huawei.

Quote

The weapon, known as the foreign direct product rule, contributed to Huawei suffering its first-ever annual revenue drop, a stunning collapse of nearly 30 percent last year.

The attraction of using the foreign direct product rule derives from the fact that virtually anything electronic these days includes semiconductors, the tiny components on which all modern technology depends, from smartphones to jets to quantum computers — and that there is hardly a semiconductor on the planet that is not made with U.S. tools or designed with U.S. software. And the administration could try to force companies in other countries to stop exporting these types of goods to Russia through this rule.

So, how much do you want our military cut by? Or are you saying you just want them pulled out of other countries?

This is an easy answer.  I want all NATO members countries to commit to what they agreed to.  If all NATO countries spent 2% of their GDP on defense (which again, they agreed to) it would add up to between $25-50 billion US dollars.  The US could lower its defense spending by the amount our allies are now properly contributing, $25-50 billion dollars.

https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_67655.htm

"In 2006, NATO Defence Ministers agreed to commit a minimum of 2% of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to defence spending to continue to ensure the Alliance’s military readiness."

Think about how silly this is......

The US with a population of 330 million people and a GDP of $23.19 trillion dollars

is defending the EU with a population of 447 million people and a GDP of $15.3 trillion dollars

from Russia, a country with a population of 144 million people and a GDP of $1.71 trillion dollars

You do realize to a sane person quoting the Lincoln Project is a sign of dementia? No one of intelligence ever respected them and now they have shown themselves to be disgusting humans. And secondly at no point did Tucker side with Russia, he simply said it was not worth us going to war

There's no election to win, so Joey has no reason to collude with Russia, a la Barry in 2012.  And the country is a mess thanks to Joey so he's got to wag the dog.

No, I'm asking you if you want our military cut? You say we contribute too much. Ok, how much do you want to reduce our ability to stop people like Putin? I get you want to do nothing and just say it because our friends are bad.

Seems your answer is to just call our friends the enemies and let Putin do what he wants. Are you a fifth columnist or just a dupe for Putin propaganda?

It is funny to have a guy who fell for Russian Disinformation from Steele Dossier calling others dupes for Putin. You also seem to think it is Republican areas of our country with high murder rates and incarceration rates. Truly curious how many of the issues you see in the country happen much more often in the areas controlled by Dems than Republicans

We’ve definitely been transported to bizzaro world. Trump was President for FOUR YEARS and Russia makes no aggressive moves anywhere. Obama and Biden bookend Trump and preside over Putin’s blustering and threats to consume foreign territory. Sure! That looks like Trump’s fault to me.

If there’s a political topic that clearly shows the REAL agenda of the Left…this has got to be it.

“The biggest deterrence to Russia is an American flag,” Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas told the Financial Times of London newspaper in an interview published Monday. Tensions in the Baltics are intensifying in tandem with the Ukraine crisis, as Moscow has issued a demand for the removal of all NATO military infrastructure installed after 1997 in Eastern European countries that are now members of the alliance.
