I think older fans will tend to agree with you, while younger kids will think the flashy show-boat crap is cool.

Our OL this year has made me sick of sack celebrations. I’d like Josh to go hurry up with a predetermined play directly after a sack if only to get the defense Offside.

I find it funny when the play gets overturned by a flag...The look of idiots appear over the faces while they finish the celebration!

I don’t care what players do if the play is over. I’m not a fan of showboating during the play, because it can directly impact the game. I can’t stand backflips, finger pointing, or dancing before reaching the end zone. Those antics can cost your team points, but post play celebrations don’t cause any harm, so I couldn’t care less.

Bah. Let them have fun. It's only annoying cause it takes a long time and it's boring.

 

As for some teams doing in the 3rd quarter when behind... well the game ain't over yet!

you bring up a good point.  The problem with penalties like taunting, roughing the passer, and illegal blocks is that there’s a lot of nuance to each infraction.  As a result the calls have been very inconsistent.  IMO I think the taunting penalties are an absolute joke because like you said - there’s plenty of “taunting” that doesn’t get called.

It's annoying, but it's better than when the NFL was rabbidly enforcing excessive celebration penalties. I still have PTSD whenever I see a player go to the ground celebrating!

But yes, it's obnoxious to see people run all the way to the other side of the field just to pose. Perhaps they could specifically call those types of celebrations as delay of game penalties? I hate taunting/celebration flags, but there has to be a limit to prevent such extensive/time consuming ones.
