Build the dome. Traditional "old school" football is dead.

17 games, tons of new rules limiting hits/chop blocking, rules that reward passing teams, non existent kick returns, changes to the onside kick, etc.

Let the past die, kill it, if you have to.

agreed, but apparently if you do that you are "soft" and not right for buffalo.

Whatever that means.

My friend is taking me to a game for my birthday now that borders are open.  A Monday game against NE is the dream of course, but I don't think I can bring myself to drag him out to that weather (on top of the added cost).  Probably going to settle for the Carolina game and hope the skies are more agreeable.

Conveniently left out the ineptitude against Indy 2 weeks ago and KC at home last season on a Monday night.

I don't count Houston because they mailed that game in.

I didn't leave them out; I know he wasn't good vs. Indy, KC, or Philly a couple of years ago. I'm just saying he performed well vs. Houston, and no, you can't exclude that game. No team has scored more points or gotten more first downs against Houston than the Bills, and only one team gained more yards (LAR).

Just the way the Pats want it....snow is not that big a deal assuming its not like that colts game a few years back.   They should be getting used to it though, most home games have not been ideal weather this year.

Any one of the Panthers, Falcons, or Jets games should be good. They are all Sunday at 1:00 which is still the best time for a Bills game IMHO. The Bills will probably ( THEY SHOULD) win all of them.

Yeah, I just live for how crazy and loud the crowd is going to be for MNF against NE.  :(

It's going to be crazy. I bet its similar to the MNF game a few years back against Dallas. Let's just hope for a different ending this time. That Dallas game was a tough loss to take.

There are separate issues for the players vs. the fans.  Wind has the bigger effect on how the game plays out assuming the footing is not an issue.  The two games vs. the Pats last year are good examples.  A close, run heavy game in Buffalo vs. a pass heavy blowout win in Foxboro.  For fans, 38F and rain is much worse than 28F and snow.

As bad as this one was for the players (the worst I can remember) it was worse for the fans.  Hypothermia is a serious thing.

Bills vs. Cardinals 1990

Why is that

Why is that

Because they are a run first team with short passing.   The Bills are pass first and if the ability to pass is affected by the weather, that favors the Patriots.  Same thing in the game last year at home the Bills squeaked out, that game was VERY windy and leveled the playing field a lot.

The Bills actually avg more ypc and ypg than the Pats so if they need to run, I’m not sure why the Pats want this especially with our added QB mobility. The wind will impact both teams ability to throw but Allen has the stronger arm and also utilizes the short passing game.

What are the YPC and YPG of the RB's?  We wont agree on this, IMO weather hurts the Bills more than the Pats.

I remember that game well. Horizontal Sleet, driven by high winds. TWO 12 yard punts by Az. The score was 45-7 late in the fourth, and the Cards scored a TD in garbage time. I was disappointed, that the Bills couldn't quite drop a 50 Burger on Az.:flirt:

I remember I couldn't turn my head to the right to see the scoreboard.  Sleet hurt my face
