I went to high school with a Tim Harris.

 

He was white, very skinny, round glasses and had zero athletic ability....he's 40 now.   I don't think this is the same guy.

He spent a week with the Bills at the end of August, so I wouldn't call this "kicking the tires."  I'd say the Bills probably like his traits on the field, and are wary of his health issues.  He's at least been exposed to the Bills defensive system.  Beane has shown time and time again that he tends to shy away from splash and dash in free agent signings and looks instead for physical traits, culture fit, and where possible, familiarity.

I'm pretty sure the Tim Harris I know thinks a quarterback is a refund.
