BillsFanForever19 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 A common statement in the wake of today's news on Tre'Davious White has been "I'm sure they'll bring someone in for depth". It's possible they stay pat with who they have. It's also possible they poach someone off another team's Practice Squad. But in the event they go the veteran FA route, I thought I'd take a look at what's out there. Below is a list compiled from NFLTradeRumors.co List of Top 100 Available Free Agents - along with their ranking on the list overall and their age: (https://nfltraderumors.co/top-50-2021-nfl-free-agents/) 9.) Quinton Dunbar, 29 21.) Daryl Worley, 26 22.) Gareon Conley, 26 27.) D.J. Hayden, 31 31.) Prince Amukamura, 32 52.) Blidi Wreh-Wilson, 31 56.) Dre Kirkpatrick, 31 72.) Akeem King, 29 78.) B.W. Webb, 31 Quinton Dunbar was brought in for a visit with the team in late September of this year. Daryl Worley was a member of the Bills from 11/3-12/9/20 before being poached from their Practice Squad by Las Vegas. So I'd imagine if we were to make a FA addition, one of them is the most likely move. Anyone have a preference from the list or an idea of someone on a team's Practice Squad? 1 1 Quote

Rc2catch Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 I think we promote from the practice squad or poach someone. I think they’d prefer a young inexperienced guy they can coach up opposed to some vet who has washed out in multiple places and schemes. Quote

However Lev Bell being listed as the 6th best overall available FA goes to show how bare the FA market is. 2 1 1 Quote
TampaBillsJunkie Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) Kirkpatrick was decent for a few years, not sure if he still has it, but why not kick the tires on him and Dunbar. Put them on the PS while we hope the others can step up. Losing TRE is bad, especially with SB aspirations. Tampa Bay will be much tougher matchup now. The rest of the schedule we may slide by, but in the playoffs KC, LA Chargers, even Cinci will prove to be tougher tests. As far as the SB, the NFC is loaded with high octane passing teams. This is a BIG LOSS. Outside of Allen and Diggs, Tre is the MVP. We really need to start getting more pressure on the QB and hopefully the whole defensive scheme steps up and figures out ways to neutralize #1 WRs. Wizard Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) It never hurts to bring someone in. Anyone know which of the guy's has played a similar/scheme role as White? I would want someone who does not create penalties and has a quiet leadership/lunchpail approach. Are one of King, Hayden, or Kirkpatrick like that? Edited November 27, 2021 by Wizard Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I would sign 2 or 3 of these guys and let them battle it out. Give us some outs. We have a better shot at finding 1 good corner if we have 4 or 5 to choose from. 2 1 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I’m assuming that you can’t trade a draft pick for another team’s CB at this point? Quote

without a drought Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 They have Cam Lewis, Olaijah Griffin and Nick McCloud here already. I expect them to go there for the active roster and then sign someone to the PS. 4 Quote
finn Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 They may wait until the last weeks of the season, when teams dump high-priced veterans. If one of them wants to play with a contender, he might sign with the Bills for a reasonable salary. 1 Quote

I’d definitely grab Dunbar. I think we’re rolling with Wallace, Dane, Taron, Siran and Cam…..until one of them get hurt Quote

Blank Stare Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Hard no on Worley. I’d either kick the tires on Dunbar (didn’t realize he was so tall and youngish at 29) or elevate McLoud. I thought he played well in the preseason. I liked his style of play. 3 Quote

Wondering why would they dump them then? Could see dropping them i nthe off season ,but why the last week of regular season? Quote
