Hebert19 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Man does he look explosive out there. He is constantly blowing up running plays and is impacting the passing game. 10 14 3 Quote
Southern Bills Fan Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 I agree. He has really popped the past few games. 1 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 He has been wrecking offenses by himself. The Colts used his aggressiveness against him so he’ll have to figure that out but he’s been a revelation the last month or so. 3 3 1 Quote
Virgil Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 If you take away defensive holding penalties this season, his sack total would double 4 Quote

That’s meant to be humorous because I do agree. I feel like Oliver has been in the backfield a lot lately. 2 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 He's made picking up his option a no brainer for sure. Funny that now that he's seeing the majority of snaps and not purely rotating he's popping off. 7 2 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 He has gotten much better this year. but he was a “beast” vs. the Colts? 1 Quote

Coming off every other play makes that hard. 4 2 Quote
CSBill Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 He did, and I would suggest having the big guys in the middle, Bryant and Ankou occupying people, helps him. I hope they keep them around even after Star returns. Beef in the middle helps a lot. 5 1 Quote

MrSarcasm Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Too bad the refs treat him like Jerry Hughes and refuse to call holding. Quote
bmur66 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Yea. Finally got his first half sack of the year 1 Quote

What he's been doing is exactly what I've been hoping for having watched him down at U of H when I lived in Texas. I was so pumped when I moved back to Buffalo and we took him that same year. Oliver had a learning curve based on competition, but seems to be finding his own now. He can play any spot on the d-line, and to me, he can be a massive disruptor that opposing offenses must gameplan for. 2 Quote
Brennan Huff Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Edmunds (gasp) has also been missed the last couple games. He was all over the field last night 3 4 1 1 1 Quote
tbonehawaii Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Did anyone notice McDernott yelling at him to shut up in the postgame speech? Seemed really irritated with him. 3 1 Quote

The fact we can just throw two guys like Bryant and Ankou out there in the middle of the season, is why run stuffing DT’s typically don’t get drafted until the middle rounds… but I absolutely agree, even with Star back, keep one or both of them. Cut useless Butler, if needed, whatever… A). If Tre is done, we need to make sure we can stop the run without bringing safeties up. B). It’s obvious that Oliver needs to be a playmaker who’s not being asked to hold double teams. Whether it’s Star, Bryant, Ankou etc., make sure he has someone like that next to him. 1 1 Quote
Niagara Dude Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 If Tre White is gone and it looks that way based reports this morning , we need other players to step up. Thre Bills play zone but need guys in the front 7 to start making plays on the QB. Quote

Amazing what can happen when he is not playing out of position like he was last year and is allowed to penetrate and disrupt next to Star/Phillips Quote
