Virgil Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) I almost feel bad for him. He hasn’t had a full compliment of healthy weapons all season. However, he got gifted extra years as a head coach Edited November 23, 2021 by Virgil Quote
Dablitzkrieg Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 The Bills should bring him in to replace Daboll🤣🤣 1 3 1 4 1 2 Quote
Nextmanup Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 He'll bounce around the league forever, like all NFL coaches/coordinators do. No big deal for him. Probably glad to be out of NY. 1 Quote
Lv-Bills Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 I have no ties or feelings to Garrett. But this is absolute garbage. He has a subpar QB, a running back that's never on the field (and I'm a huge PSU fan), and a terrible offensive line. I think their WRs were hurt a lot as well. And if that isn't bad enough.......they replace him with FREDDIE KITCHENS.......yikes. Something tells me Garrett is lucky to be fired from that crapshow. And it's funny, because when the Bills were mediocre year after year, Bob Papa would be on Sirius XM NFL Network with an arrogant take on what's wrong with every other NFL team and how stable the Giants org was. Ummmm, yeah Bob, your QB now sucks, in you are smack in the middle of NFL purgatory. I love it. Enjoy Freddie Kitchens. 2 Quote
Doc Brown Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Bad hire in the first place. His scheme was outdated and lacked any sort of creativity. 3 Quote
RoyBatty is alive Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Garret was an easy target. Giants have a monster decision coming up, do they go with Jones as their guy? Quote

BuffaloRebound Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Scapegoat. Gettlebaum knows he’s next to get fired . If that offense doesn’t show significant improvement in next 7 games, he’s gone too. And new GM means Judge most likely gone too. 1 Quote
Blainorama5 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 He never looked right in Giants blue. Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Bigger decision is do they go with Judge? Does anyone really listen to this guy talk and think he's getting them to the promised land? Quote

As for Judge, you’re probably correct. The only other good option is to let him pick the new GM. They’d have to be way more sold on him than I am to let him do that. Better to move on from everyone. Rc2catch Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Should of fired him at halftime last night. Daniel Jones has very brief flashes of playing decent but he should not be a starter next year. Giants should be ready to clean house at the end of the year and go all in for their next quarterback whoever that may be. Quote

I could see that for him. 26 minutes ago, Dablitzkrieg said: The Bills should bring him in to replace Daboll🤣🤣 A new record, it only took one post. A HOF post right here? Quote

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 He's tan, rested, and ready. And he probably knows the back roads to the stadium. 2 Quote

So are the Giants going to suffer through another year or two with Daniel Jones, who knows. Quote
KingBoots8 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 The Giants need to clean house top to bottom. Gettleman needs to go, and their coach too most likely. If their HC stays he may have a hand in selecting the GM- but has he warranted any trust at this point? His team is garbage and not getting better under his leadership. Also, depending on the QB class coming up, they have to seriously evaluate Danny Dimes future. We see the difference in a QB who’s rough around the edges and a bad line and what he can do. Danie Jones hasn’t shown a fraction of what Josh did. Even as a rookie with the worst line in the NFL Josh mustered at least 6 wins out of that team. I don’t think DJ could pull that off, and he has way more weapons than Josh did that year. That being said, rookie contract. If next year is a good QB class you roll Dan out there one more year and hope you get in position to get top talent. Quote
jkeerie Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) According to NFL network, Freddie Kitchens will call the plays. https://www.nfl.com/news/new-york-giants-firing-offensive-coordinator-jason-garrett Edited November 23, 2021 by jkeerie 1 Quote
