End of the day having speed matters,  yes the Colts have a much better offensive line but even when A Bill defender made it to the backfield the guy was making players miss for positive yards and when he had holes it was big chunks of yards.  I thought one of Breida's best runs today was inside the 10 and that sweep where he makes a defender miss and gets 4 yards.  If that were the other two guys it is most likely a loss in the backfield.

We're not improving using the same two guys and I would prefer we get 1 & 2 yard runs with Breida and then getting those massive chunks yards runs that he provides over the two other guys who are just two slow

Getting big chunk plays with a speed RB is going to have those LB'S playing close to the line and opening up things for our WR'S

your cliché aside, yes Breida was the best back on the field for them today and should have used him more.

Most maddening part of this team is we say we can’t run the ball but we WON’T run the ball. When we have success we stop, why not make them stop us? And why does McDermott keep using Moss when Breida and Singletary are having success? Daboll has to stop being pass happy specially when our run game is actually working! It’s like he refuses to want to win that way!

Singletary avg 5 yards a career almost his whole career. Brieda has been fine. It’s not that we couldn’t run it, we are just obsessed with dropping back from shotgun every snap and hope it all clicks. Rather then just have balance and actually make it hard on teams to stop you. Instead we’d rather volunteer to take away our own run game. Smart.

I dont necessarily think speed matters as you say. But slow small RBs are not the answer. I think Breida better compliments what we are trying to do offensively.

This is a big reason i wanted Travis Etienne.

It’s why I have lamented this teams obsession with Zack Moss.

time for Moss to sit he is doing nothing out there.  This team is gonna be known as the great pretenders soon

We are put in an unfortunate position as fans where we will have to root for an injury to Moss, because I have absolutely zero faith in McDermott to make the beyond obvious decision to bench him and play Brieda.

Moss, Breida & Singletary deserve more touches. It’s on Daboll to get the running game going before the 4th Qtr.

Agreed. I think he has finally figured out the kind of runs that make sense for this team. The sweeps and pulling stuff really Seems to be working now. Just got to call them more.

Sprinkle in the RB screen, arrow & wheel route and you begin to spread the defense.
