For All The Young Bills Fans Wanting to Put to Bed The 90s Comparisons, forget about it. The 90s teams were never  out of a game so often. The 90s teams had a killer instinct and were never out of it until the last minute. Todays team does not have that, and it is not not even close. Josh may be great, but this team as a whole is awful compared to 90-94.

There’s no comparisons to be made. This team hasn’t even made 1 Superbowl yet. As far as comparing talent level/performance, there’s no comparisons there either because the game has completely changed since the early ‘90s.

Late 80s teams did though.  Maybe thats where this team is at?

As a fan that was around during the 90's I've always got a kick out of such silly comparisons.

Allen isn't Kelly and never will be. He's a tough kid and better than most QB's we've but another dumb move by this idiot GM has put expectations and pressure on him he'll never reach and why I always felt it was laughable to extend him so soon.

I respect what McDermott has done here but he's not Marv Levy and never taking this team to a championship, let alone a SB and last year was just a fluke and his Dick Jauron type of moment in the playoffs.

BS! KC obliterated a “super bowl” bills  team.

There were a few games where Kelly came out and threw 3 picks in the first quarter and the game was over.

I don’t remember any this late in the season tho. At one point I wanted him benched. He was awful at times.

when Kelly was bad, he was really bad.

You’ve made a lot of dumb comments in the past but that one takes the cake.

Every single GM in the NFL would have extended Allen and, rightfully so. Allen is not the problem with the Buffalo Bills. He’s actually what is right.

Allen is already ten times better than Kelly. It’s not close either.

This is just wrong. There were some brutal losses. KC on Monday night still haunts me.

The 88-94 teams were LOADED with talent at every position group and had a dominant OL, this team can't say that.

The players seem to have the same attitude as most of the fan base in that 13-3 was considered the floor and we were only destined for greater things.  Now the reality that every season is different and you have to be humble, work your asses off, etc. is fully setting in.

This is it.  Some people said we were the pre-season favorite to win the SB and it went to everyone's head, I think.

We don't know where this team is at in its career path.  What if it is 1988 right now (relative to the last regime)!

We might still be 2 or 3 years away from our first SB appearance, but it might be one of 4, and we might win 3 of them.

I can wait, as long as the big picture stays strong.

He's still young but you can't honestly believe this dude is worth $250 Million and say it with a straight face.

What big games has he won or carried this team on his back outside of perhaps the playoff game last year against this same Colts team?

Again, he's good and far from the problem here but the idol worship is laughable.

Yea idk what this guy is taking about MNF against the Chiefs. How bout the Oilers in Houston the week before the Comeback game. The Dolphins blew us out 37-14 at home one year I believe. They got crushed by Oakland on the road like 24-3 one year. The Bills SB teams were much better than these teams but they had some stinkers as well

I recall a dreadful loss at Indy (terrible team back then) as well during the SB years.  Made fans question the quality of the team at the time.

well what I would day to this thread is your opinion  this isnt a team on the calibre of the 90's teams.....But its not apples to oranges as much as you might think.  IMO you cant compare the eras and the way the NFL is Now with then......Nope sorry not buying it.   Peace.

He's no where near last year, albeit still much better than his first two years.  It just seems to me the stars need to align for him to produce consistently.  When everything is clicking he's in a zone and it looks easy.  The problem is against good teams its not going to always be clicking.  The great ones continue to find a way under pressure....Josh seems to crumble under pressure, especially when he feels the game slipping away.  That is exactly the time you need to be your best and most composed.
