I’m not calling this a “prediction” — just a feeling.  If the injury bug does not infect the team in our most critical spots I think it’s very possible for the Bills to run the table.  Five of eight at home.  A humbling loss two weeks ago to force a “reset.”  A smart, veteran defense.  A coach learning and getting better each week (McD said they left the starters in Sunday “to put the game away”).  And an MVP candidate at QB.  The Pats*** are playing well but they don’t equal our talent.  Tampa has been as inconsistent as anyone.  The Saints with Trevor Siemian?

Take it for what it’s worth.

Could be, for sure.   The Monday nighter will be a big game vs Pats as that may be for the division.   Away at TB as well.   Looking forward to those games but the others should be pretty ho hum as far as seeing what we have.   Jets game showed us very little as, for example, Diggs was put out there 1:1 with a 3rd team DB and freakin Mike ? White was at QB.   So , ignore the Jets game.    Lets see if the Bills lines get beat up v Colts like they did in the playoff game, that will help sort this out

Every time I get a feeling like this about Buffalo they lose every super bowl, have all their blue liners get injured, suffer some QBs controversy curse or lose to Jacksonville..

I like the optimism but their is a good chance we split with the Pats and lose at TB. As for the other games they should win but as we have seen upsets do happen.

Different type of crushing loss/opponent, but I said it after the Jags debacle that hopefully this team can leverage that experience for motivation/lessons learned the same way the 2020 Bills did after the Hail Murray play. They went on a big run after that and played their best ball and hopefully this Bills team can do the same!

I am not saying this will happen but...I think Sundays game was a big step for this team. Putting Josh under center, using 12 personnel, having Brieda on the field, etc.

I think we added a shiny new club to the bag. With those formations worked on, we can switch from 10, 11, 12 personnel in the game (assuming injuries and inactives) to get stuff going.

I agree that every team is beatable

in Buffalo — Colts could put up some points of Wentz plays smart and the Run D is stout.

Im no more worried about Tampon Bay as I am the NE Cheatriots.

Aints have no stellar QB to worry about

Panthers 🐆 and Cam “Fig” Newton 😝

Falcons 🥧

week 18 v the JETS I mean the NYETS

Do the Bills need this game for the 1 seed?

Will the NYETS actually care?

@eball, I hear you. What makes me think you are on to something is McDermott’s locker room speech about leadership and then Josh’s breakdown of not riding the emotional roller coaster. The message was subtle but clear. Prepare for your opponent like professionals and leave the emotions out of it. The loss to Pitt and then the Jags really helped this team learn something. If they can sustain this approach for an entire season, nobody is beating this team(injuries aside).
I felt this way before the Jax game, but now I really believe it. Every year a team takes on an identity, this years team is learning how to navigate the pitfalls that come with success.

They could win out. I wouldn't be shocked. They had a long winning streak to end the season last year. But currently the AFC standings are down right frightening. If I am looking at them correctly couldn't the Bills find themselves without a playoff seed and be one of the many teams "in the hunt" with a loss this Sunday and a few of the other games not going the Bills way.

I agree, the Bills may not lose again this season.  That's not what I expect though.  I've been saying I think the Bills have the talent to beat any other team in the league when they are playing to their capabilities.  I haven't seen any confirmation yet that they are ready to play with consistency down the stretch.  Honestly, that's probably going to be a matter for hindsight to settle in early January.

I love the optimism.

But it was very possible at one point to beat three consecutive one win teams (Fins, Jags, Jets) - but we didn't.

A table-run would be awesome but, realistically, I'm not counting on it.

It wouldn't be a surprise.   But neither would losing 3-4 more because they've been inconsistent and it's still a COVID year so anything goes.

Teams that win SB's often end up with very long winning streaks...........I think KC and NE have both pushed or exceeded 20 straight wins over the course of 2 seasons including a playoff stretch............so it wouldn't be epic for the Bills to win 12 in a row or something.    They had a long win streak last year going into the AFCCG.
