This dude is the best punter in college football history and is putting up numbers that are ridiculous and better than anyone in NFL history as well... Literally he is the team MVP. Might not be a first round pick, but I bet it will be higher than most expect. Not only will the ball travel further it will also be more difficult to catch. You are talking about a few yards of field position per punt which will be valuable to some. Quote

Captain Caveman Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Doesn't really make sense for a team with a good to very good offense. Now, if I'm the Lions, maybe I'd consider a 3rd (but why not just use it on a player that can help make first downs so you don't need to punt.) Quote

Expand I stand corrected thanks to @poblano - per his note, Ray Guy was selected in the 1st and eventually made it to the HOF. Introduced into HOF the same year as Andre Reed. 1 Quote
