The Eagles killed us on the ground. Wentz had to do extremely little. Yeah think it was 2019. Think you're about right with the 15 completions. Don't remember how many attempts he had, but was 20 or so. That's how it goes if you getting ran all over. Have to keep Taylor in check as much as possible and force Wentz into making throws. Could be a tight game 1 Quote

I'm thinking you have to root for the Pats right if we're to have any shot at the bye week in the playoffs. Depends if the Bills win vs Colts,@ Saints. If they do then yeah prob NE. Of course winning division more important than 1 seed so you can make the argument for TEN as well . 1 Quote

My point is all the nervous Nellie's throwing out gloom & doom scenarios saying that a Bills loss would be expected. Given the circumstances no Bill's fan should be expecting the Colts to win. So while I wouldn't be shocked by a Bills loss I expect them to win. And I prefer people who look for reasons why the Bills will win then trying to dig up every reason why they will lose. Off the top of my head the Bills playing at home and facing a less dangerous QB then they did last year in Rivers are two very good reasons why I think they win this game. Yeah, I hear ya. We could definitely lose to the Colts. The Jags game is the most recent reminder that anything can happen. I also get that sometimes good teams just don’t matchup well vs mediocre teams. And because of that, the mediocre team ends up winning at times. That said, it’s weird how some prop up mediocre teams to the point that they get very concerned about them. Then, at the same time, they seem to forget how good the Bills are. Edited November 16, 2021 by BillsFan619 1 Quote

But it's weird with how many stunners went down in that short span. Don't think I remember that many in 2 weeks before. Was surprising Edited November 16, 2021 by Sheneneh Jenkins 2 Quote

He made a bunch of big plays at crucial moments. Wentz is not the same QB he was last time we faced him. He’s broken. He was the worst starting QB in the NFL last year (narrowly beating out Cam for the honor) and I see no real evidence that anything has changed much. He’s a big step down from the 40-year old version of Philip Rivers we faced last January. 1 Quote
Dont Stop Billeiving Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Again for anyone worried about Wentz, I'd watch the highlights of the Colts-Jags game and also recommend reading some of the articles from the Colts SB Nation site... https://www.stampedeblue.com/2021/11/15/22782645/carson-wentz-stat-tracker-week-10 "Bad, bad, bad. I’m not sure about you, but when my QB plays the worst passing defense in the league, I expect him to be . . . oh, I don’t know . . . not awful?." "Wentz’s inconsistency over the season is literally on display with these roller coaster charts." "For those that think Wentz is playing like a top 10 QB. I want you to do 3 things: -Stop thinking that. -Really look at the above charts and count the number of games that he has been below average in these measures . . . measures of events that actually drive offensive points. -Write down the 22 QBs that you think are playing worse than Wentz and refer back to #1. On the year, Wentz is far from horrible, but he is also far from very good." If I'm the Bills, I do whatever it takes to put the clamps on Michael Pittman (their only above average receiver) and then focus all of my other resources on stopping Jonathan Taylor and the run game. Quenton Nelson is dealing with an ankle injury right now and hasn't been his usual dominant self (was given the Least Valuable Player Award for the Jags game by the same website above) and Eric Fisher is very average at LT. Hopefully we get Star and Tremaine back, but either way the Colts offense is really top heavy with Pittman/Taylor and I trust our defense to get the job done. 1 Quote

Still looking hobbled from the ankle injury he suffered early in the year, Nelson allowed 4 pressures and never got to truly assert himself on the line. This is just him shaking the rust off and getting back to 100%, but yesterday it was certainly bad." 1 Quote

Hebert19 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Colts have played 5 upper half QBs this year. (Pro bowlers at some point) They are 0-5. Lost to: titans x2 Ravens Seahawks Rams Taylor scares me...but Wentz and that D do not. 2 1 Quote

If Brady has a good day against them, that doesn't mean they aren't a good defense. If they aren't elite yet, they are knocking at the door and at worst, a top 3 defense. Yes, they haven't haven't played elite QB's yet but we are still at the top in pass and run defense. They are shutting offenses down. Any great defense plays a lot of mediocre to bad QB's. 1 minute ago, ScottLaw said: Forgot about Mahomes, he’s been struggling most of the year but they did play great that night against him. Thought they were too focused on stopping Henry as Tanne killed them with the PA. If there's one thing I will criticize McDermott for, he gives too much respect to certain players. We respected Mahomes too much last year and finally attacked them this year. We respected Henry too much and we couldn't get anywhere close to Tanny and he killed us. If we play the Titans again, attack them like you would attack anyone. Who cares if Henry gets his yards, he will. We just can't let Tanny have it easy. 2 3 Quote
