Exactly.  I've been hoping they would get under center more often and mix up thr offensive personnel groups.  Daboll deserves props for great schemes/playcalls today.  

 

Even if we're not running it from under center, the threat is more real on the PA passing game.  Hopefully keeps it going moving forward, staying in more balanced looks.

What a great statement W, especially because, we still left points and turnovers on the field—our ceiling is beyond SB caliber!! Lookout for when we really hum on all cylinders…

I watched some of the Jets programs on the SNY channel this past week, just to see what they were saying about the Bills, and all they talked about was “the legend of Mike f****** white” and how he’s given Jets fans hope.

Absolutely agree. Once they figured how to use him the right way (or were forced to, basically) he came on strong. Awesome signing in my book.

Look i know it was way away from the play side but if a O lineman engages and drags the defensive player down to the ground they are going to call it. Should they call it when it is so far away from the play? That’s debatable. But it was a hold, no phantoms involved.

He totally held, but it had nothing to do with the play. Those are the calls I wish they would just let go. The refs could call a penalty on every play if the wanted to, but if it’s not a personal foul and has no effect on the play then I wish they would let it go.

I was saying before this game, that the RPOs were killing the run game and the offense as a whole. The thing that stood out to me is that run plays were run plays and pass plays were pass plays. Those option plays left the OL not knowing whether to pass block or run block and were killing the offense.  RPOs are a nice wrinkle, but the offense was using then way too much. It's really no surprise that the Bills offense exploded against the Jets. All they really needed was to get back to some good play calling. Of course, having Knox and Brown back factored in too. Overall though, I think the RPOs were hanging the OL out to dry and Josh too, for that matter. When the play call is a run the OL can fire off a block as soon as the ball snaps. When a play is a pass, the OL can focus on protecting the QB. The offense still has some work to do, but I think they have discovered what hasn't been working and then executed in this game. The play action is nice to see. The different run looks were too. Liking what I see.

i agree completely— but the person to blame is Dawkins. What a dumb penalty. He could have let his guy go through untouched if he wanted on that play.

A lot of that "Buffalo style" or it's crap thing comes from people who grew up with it.......not people who grew up in the 1960's like Pullman.   Wings really didn't "take off" all over the entirety of WNY until the 80's and that was mainly because they were dirt cheap byproduct for bars to peddle to increase beer sales.
