Don't want to speak for him, but I think that is more common with the pcl, not the acl.

Yes the PCL is a minor ligment that can be braced up......but it is not advisable

The ACL?   My kid had this football injury I feel like I know too much when it comes to a ACL injury :(

Ugh!  Think very highly of Woods as a WR and a guy.

Can you imagine, you tear your ACL and don't notice?  Kind of makes you wonder if he was using Toradol to practice

When I tore my ACL it hurt a lot when it happened, but the pain went away in a few minutes.  I then could walk fine.  The problem was that my knee would give out from time-to-time until I found out I tore it.

Thurman Thomas played his entire career without a repaired acl after he tore it in college

He's a machine

Right.  But he still had an ACL.

Easily one of my favorite Bills of all time.  I hated to see him leave.  This is a total bummer.

I have a buddy who's a Rams fan, and he called me up all, 'I can't believe we got Sammy!'

and I was like, no, you got Woods.  I loved that pick, but oh well, not destined to be ours.

That's a shame Bob seems like a good guy and teammate.

I think he wanted out of Buffalo and going back to Cali was a no brainer.

All best Bob on your recovery and rehab ;)

They still had their acl’s.  They were just torn.

What's the distinction?   Anything less than severed....and therefore not functional.........is considered a grade of sprain,  is it not?

there is a HUGE difference in a partially torn/frayed ACL and a completely torn ACL.  You can't will a non existent ligament to hold that is not connected. I snapped My ACL twice in college, and had to have full reconstructions with cadaver ligaments... but a frayed is not a sprain, it will never regrow or heal... all that matters is the degree of fraying. So saying a couple guys played with frayed ACLs while others couldn't proves their toughness is stupid and idiotic... VERY VERY STUPID
