Chicagobills Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Why don’t we run McKenzie jet sweep anymore? Last year we ran it almost every game. I feel like offense less creative this year and more conservative? Maybe bc the poor O line play? 3 1 Quote

EmotionallyUnstable Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 I will piggyback off of this and add that pre-snap motion, aside from tiny shifts with RBs, TEs and WRs realigning, has disappeared entirely. 3 1 Quote
MAJBobby Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 They made McKenzie a specialist only. Such a waste of a weapon 2 8 1 Quote
Rc2catch Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 It’s concerning. I felt despite the fact they rarely gave it to him it did slow the defense just a second making sure he didn’t get it which we obviously could use since pass protection is so bad. With McKenzie on returns this year maybe they don’t want to risk injury using him too much, but it’s not like other guys can’t do it. I really like moss but I’m kinda hoping he misses a week so Breida jumps in and maybe runs that gadget role to distract defenses and catch the occasional screen 1 Quote

Because we tried one in week 1 and Pitt was waiting for it and it seems like it scared the Bills off from using it ever since 1 Quote
Sharky7337 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 It's almost like we went to the Adam gase offense lol no motion Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 McKenzie had a breakout game against the Dolphins last season and has been MIA ever since. It's sad. Once they get Knox back they will have more balance 1 Quote
Process Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Daboll is in completely over his head. He really has no idea what he's doing. 2 1 Quote
fasteddie Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 They are too busy having McKittrick trying to block on those head scratching wide receiver screens. Sarcasm off. 1 Quote
Andy1 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 If McKenzie gets injured, who can return kicks as well as he can? I think that’s why we don’t see it. I do miss it though. Quote

I think he is overrated, although no HC offers after multiple interviews tells me other GM's don't rate him that highly either. In his defense, nobody can go very far with poor Oline play, but he is so scared to run that defenses almost always know what's coming. I also agree w another poster wondering why we drafted Basham who never plays when we were so in need of Oline talent. Some of this is injury related, but part of it is poor planning. Quote

Dr.Sack Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Daboll hasn’t been the same since losing both grandparents, we need to understand there are things going on that would cause anyone to be challenged at work. We need to be patient and let him work out of this funk. Quote

I don’t get it- not every play needs to be something no one has ever seen Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 are the bills just trying to get to the playoffs to open up the play book a bit more/ keep guys as healthy as possible? This season has seen a drop in pre snap motions and any sort of slant passes/crossing routes over the middle Quote
