EDIT : not sure what the position coaches are doing but maybe we need Dline and Oline specialists , like QBs have to fix their game, to make these guys play better. Its too late to bring in better people so this team needs to find a way to play their positions better, working on fundamentals is a good place to start.

We would be lucky. The position is very thin league wide and injuries are biting in lots of places.

So, the FO refused to address the Oline for the past 2 years and we think they are going to magically find some guys on the PS within the next few weeks?

We drafted 2 OLman in the 3rd and 5th round 

We signed 2 OLmen who had shown ability to play in the league (Forrest Lamp, 2017 2nd round pick who has struggled against injuries but started 16 games at LG for the. Chargers last year and Jamil Douglas, 2015 4th round pick who played 29 games in the last 2 years for Tenn (started 5).

 

It’s apparently not what you wanted (what did you want?) but it’s not “refused to address” either.

 

We have in the past found PS guys who have come in and played better than our starters, but I was hoping we didn’t have to go that route any more

Its not that i think they will its more of thats all there is left , and maybe just maybe they will see what a disaster today and most of the games this season this oline has been and try to fix it.

This is it right here. We have who we have. Maybe time to change things up a bit. Right now you cannot convince me Doyle or Bates are worse options than Ford. If they are then why have we hung onto Bates this long? Why even take Doyle if he's worse than Ford? 

 

My biggest knock on Daboll is that it doesn't always seems like he puts his players in the best position to do well. He gets locked into what he wants to do and it hurts the team. If he doesn't have the answers and Bobby Johnson doesn't have the answers to find the best 5 we have and get them on the field in a blocking assignment that they can AT LEAST look somewhat competitive with then we need to find people that do.

Doyle was horrendous the times he did get to play in the pre-season going against backups and guys out of the league.

If we were talking about our skill positions I'd agree with you, but we've got to do something about our guard play.  If everyone can get healthy again so we have Brown and kick Williams inside we can probably limp through the season, but holy god it was bad today. I never want to see that line combo again.
