Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 He doesn’t even know the concept of a slant. If McDermott wants to prove he still has control of this team, he needs to look for a new OC tomorrow. 4 2 1 6 3 2 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Agreed. I wouldn’t be sad if he left. 1 Quote
Process Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 He's terrible. He has been ever since he got here. Most overrated coach in the league and it's not close. Allen made him look good last year, but Daboll is one of the worst coordinators/ play callers in the league. Cross your fingers that he gets hired as a HC because I have 0 faith in McDermott to make the obvious decision to fire him. 3 2 Quote
Sweats Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Hard to be a good OC when the FO refuses to splurge for a decent Oline and running game............true story 3 4 Quote
Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 We were winning in spite of Daboll. Why do you think Allen wanted more control over play calling? I’m so tired of the designed play run calls and then get mad when Allen fumbles. 2 Quote

kkim0904 Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 RUN THE BALL AND CHNAGE THE FORMATION. 1st Q, 1st and goal on 3 yard line. We Should select I formation and power run. But Our first play, shotgun formation and delayed running play and lost 3 yard. That was a terrible call by Daball. 7 Quote
Governor Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Nope. Bad players overrated by fans. 3 2 2 2 Quote
Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 Just now, 727Bills said: I'm starting to think this as well.... It has to be. Think about it. We have Allen, Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders and respectable talent in Davis. We are winning (were winning) in spite of Daboll. The talent we have is good enough to win a super bowl, we are under performing and that is due to bad coaching. 1 Quote
Nuncha Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) He's garbage. I was hoping someone would hire him so we could move on. His offense is a one dimensional disaster. Edited November 7, 2021 by Azucho98 2 Quote
Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 Either Allen, Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders are overrated or Daboll is terrible. Given how Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders graded out as some of the best separators in the league, I find it hard to place blame on the talent. Quote
JohnNord Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 In order for the Bills to have lost to Jacksonville a LOT had to go wrong and it did. Yet it’s funny how everyone wants to point the finger at Daboll while overlooking some other big factors on offense. Does Daboll deserve some blame. Yes. You can criticize some of his play calls. But to there were two factors that were more responsible and just as responsible the offensive line and yes…Josh Allen. He admitted he played like crap, yet so many fans want to argue otherwise. No matter what was called, the OL screwed it up. People hated the run calls, but they were chosen to loose up Cover 2 and because the Bills had the numbers advantage the OL couldn’t make it work. Same with the passes. Josh was rushed almost every drop back. So badly that he tried to press and do too much. Which goes back to Allen. He’s an MVP candidate and easily considered a top 10 QB. As bad at the line had played, he should be able to overcome that against a terrible NFL defense on a 1 win team. Josh needs to be better. The root of the problem is the OL. While it is reasonable to expect that Allen and Daboll’s play calling should be better, given how poorly the OL played it’s nearly impossible. 3 3 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 LOL and there's another thread started 4 or 5 days ago, stating Daboll may go to Bears next year and everyone was worried sick about losing him. 1 Quote

The OL isn't helping matters this year, but even last year when they were playing well there were some head scratching games of play calling by him and it's not going away, almost seems to be getting worse. But is that cause he knows the OL isn't playing well and is causing him to press too much with changing up the calls based on it's not working? Quote
Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 At some point, McDermott has to start feeling the pressure for these inexcusable losses. How much more talent does he need to win it all? We have Allen, Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, and Davis. What do you need to do? Get another #1 receiver? Obviously we need better lineman, but there is no reason to be losing to teams like the Jags. 1 Quote
jethro_tull Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 The first down calls have been repetitive and therefore predictable and stopped easily. The creativity and change ups seem to have vanished. They know what they are doing, the question is why. 1 Quote

This whole coaching staff is overrated but nobody is getting fired although I suggested we release a bum like Cody Ford immediately to send a message. And I still don't understand why Frazier (and McD) insist on sitting in soft zone especially against a rookie QB and they should have been blitzing on pretty much every down. Be just a little aggressive and the defense probably wins the game today. 1 1 3 Quote
