Milanos Milano Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Coulda shoulda woulda. Beane is just as much to blame for this loss today seeming how the Oline and RBs are atrocious. Quote

Well if I recall correctly, after trade deadline came and went I believe I read somewhere Beane said "decision for not making any moves is he had confidence that the roster in place could get it done"...or something along those lines. But Captain Hindsight has made an appearance. Quote
Thriftygamer83 Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 People mocking Frank Gore forget how many games he broke a large gain for. Along with forgetting how many times he could function as a fullback as well. That said AP is an interesting name to throw into the mix and he'd be a good guy to have for our younger corp. To work them out, inspire them, and be a leader it's not like McDermott and Beane are not thinking that their backs aren't holding back when they are. Quote
Toyo321 Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 Goes to show how clueless Beane is about our current running back situation. We have Breida, and the guy wont even use him. But you want to call in a retired player for potential employment in a already conflicted locker room with 3 RB's that you don't know how to correctly use in our offense. WOW!! 1 Quote

Beane isn't really involved in the GameDay decisions. McDermott has been making that call Quote

They truly do need to circle the wagons and come up with new ideas. Because what is happening now to the team is not sustainable. It will leads to utter failure. Quote

He could inspire them by letting them know what will happen if they don't! Plenty of trees near the stadium full of nice branches. Quote

AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 McBeane should be kicking the tires on EVERY free agent who could possibly help the Bills. If he doesn’t, then he’s not doing his job. Quote

Its part of his responsibility, He signed Breida...... On many NFL teams, general managers are the eyes and ears of the owner, and they oversee the day-to-day operation of the team. They must be cold and calculating people because they have to make a lot of difficult personnel decisions. They make the player trades and free agent acquisitions, decide salary levels, and ultimately determine which players to select in the NFL draft. General managers must be excellent judges of every player’s ability because they’re responsible for doing what’s best for the organization. They must have a feel for what the team needs and be able to work in conjunction with the head coach and his needs. The best possible scenario is to have a solid general manager and a great head coach, who can put their egos aside and work together. But this situation is very rare these days because head coaches usually want total control over personnel, like Pete Carroll has in Seattle. Quote

We all know this, but because everyone at One Bills Dr. has no fear at being held accountable to the owners, the coaches need to be reigned back in. They are not doing what is in the best interest of the team and that is the GM's job to make sure that they do. Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 I wouldn’t be completely against AP. He brings something that our current RBs don’t. 1 cut physicality. He will hit the hole super hard and turn the “soft” image off, real quick. Quote
