If you think this team is primed for a SB, you are delusional.

Those ratings are a product of the opponents they played.

So you on other hand are very realistic and know that we don't have what it takes to go to SB.

But you are still willing to make single move which changes that, do I understand it correctly? I.e. that we need that one player which makes us SB contender, right?

Regarding where this team stands and what they need to do, can do, and should do, in acquiring additional talent:  If I had to choose between your analysis and Beane's...

Let me see...yeah, I think I will have to go with Beane

We will stand pat and blame the salary cap

I'd you haven't noticed, our team is pretty good.

-Bills have no one on IR as an obvious move/drop.

-Bills can roll-over the ~$6M for next year to offset loss of talent or acquire actual needs vice a sexy but questionable move now.

-Bills need to retain draft picks to offset increased cost of retained talent if they want to sustain success.

-Areas of potential need: (IOL, IDL (maybe), CB, DE/rusher). Of those, IDL and CB could be available for draft picks and fit in cap space that could improve the team THIS year. Debatable if any long term improvement, short of losing new player in FA and acquiring comp picks. IOL of any worth isn't available NFL wide and DE/rusher...well the two I'd even consider were Gordon and Miller. Honestly not sure Gordon provides an improvement over current team and reduces playing time for younger players.

I'm not sure there are players that better than we have that are worth losing a current player and a draft pick and decreasing available 2022 $$$.

How would Ingram even have fit on this defense anyway? We already have 6 ends…..who you cutting Addison? Addison has more career sacks than Ingram in the same span. Adding Ingram and cutting Addison would’ve been the equivalent of trading for DJax and cutting Sanders.

A buddy of mine who is a Broncos fan said the Bills were after Von Miller; and they got out-bid by LAR.

Pete Schrags said they called, but I expect they call about a lot of guys.

I don't see the Beane-meister dealing a 2nd and 3rd round pick for a 9 game rental

What moves do we need to make? We’re top 5 in offense and defense. Why not let our 3 defensive ends we drafted grow and get better?

LA is setting themselves up for a 1-2 year window max……too many 1st round picks given up for players with large contracts.

Well, thats the point really. Our guys Need time to grow.  Our rookies are good but need experience and it’s a long season.  We are not getting home easily on the rush and we all saw what Ingram did to us week one.  No way you get that value from a 6 th in next years draft.  The AFC window just opened a little wider with this weeks injury train. Very disappointing to miss on A guy the Steelers were willing to give to an in conference competitor for such a worthless pick !  Hurts them, helps you to acquire a rusher like that.  Many on the board were lamenting how bad it was to miss him in FA. ITS A myth that you need all those picks, and the Chiefs just got better by fixing a main thing they lacked in our first matchup this year and they are showing they are not giving up ! Put jones and Ingram together and suddenly with our weak o line, they can pressure Josh again like last year. LA  and the Chiefs know it’s a do it now league CURRENTLY, and just holding on to late picks that can’t make a deep roster anyhow makes no sense.

If LA gets a Lombardi ,who cares about 2 years from now ?  We stand pat and two years from now our vets are older or gone , our rookies are finally seasoned but another opportunity has passed and we manage to just tread water. Getting a bonafide rusher or a legit guard is all we could hope for in this current window and we just missed again on two rushers. It is still a CURRENT, OBVIOUS NEED and we could have jettisoned Butler once and for all.

How did Tampa win last year , pressuring Mahomes !  How do you beat Brady,,,,by pressuring TB12 and having corners pressure in man coverage according to Rodney Harrison.  Who knows how Browns  back injury may progress etc,,,speculating,  but hurt while lifting  is usually either a muscle strain/ tear OR it can be a damaged disc which many times lingers as a slow heal or can worsen due to its poor blood flow. Should we keep sitting and depend on Ike or worse, have to bring Ford back in?   We have a couple glaring weak areas , with an ability to make roster moves by  jettisoning guys who are constantly inactive. Bean is interested , so why be cheap worrying about “ potential” in future draft picks and go get a known entity?!  How many lombardies do we have so far hoarding draft picks AFTER having our true franchise QB !?

We have our QB, it’s time to finish and polish the roster for this years playoffs which you know are a sure lock in a very unique year with the AFC EAST so weak. Worry about potential from late picks later when you already have the luxury of a Lombardi !!  If the deadline passes today , and we stand pat while it seems there are deals within reach, it’s doubling down on your weaknesses you know are there at the halfway mark of the season, and why not try to fix things that are not improving on their own? Dont be arrogant by sitting as your competition makes moves ; Titans sign Peterson and with a jones fracture it’s not impossible Henry returns in Jan IF it heals. Looks like we missed on nailing a get - home rusher, so do something about that O line before we hear sometime like Browns injury is worse than expected. Come on magic Beane, find a guy to help Josh stand in the pocket! 😀👍

Dude Melvin Ingram isn’t and never was an elite pass rusher. There was a reason he signed a contract in July and traded by November. He has 1 sack in his last 13 games.

You can’t keep trading draft picks away for a 1-2 year run…..you gotta replenish that roster with cheap rookie deals.
