I agree with Peyton, why not take a timeout there? 2:40 left in the game and you just gave up almost 1/3 of that time when you know they are going to score.

Yeah, that was the moment to take the timeout to maximize remaining clock. Awful coaching.

I would rather have 3+ min, a timeout and 2 min warning to score 7 than 67 seconds to get a FG with no timeouts

It was the right decision.  Giants had no timeouts.  No matter what, that play was designed to be a TD or keep the clock running.

with how bad the giants are, it was a smart play by PM. A FG won this game. The giants are going to just self destruct here.

Absolutely. The worst case the Giants have the ball with just under 2 minutes and no timeouts. Now they have a minute.
