klos63 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Carroll explained during a Zoom call on Thursday(June 2020) that he has tremendous respect for Kaepernick and the biggest reason why Seattle didn’t sign him in 2017 was because the quarterback was “so obviously a starter.” The Seahawks head coach then explained that they’re not considering Kaepernick this time around, either, indicating that Seattle is comfortable with Geno Smith as its backup to Russell Wilson. Wonder if Carroll is still comfortable with Geno. He's not an NFL QB. Quote

Expand At about this point in the 2012 CFB season, West Virginia was undefeated and Geno was considered the front runner to be the first overall pick in the 2013 draft.
