He had a lot of trouble dealing with teams running pass plays right at him last season rather than allowing him to hover-cover........there was still some of that going on early this year........he's improved his recognition and hastened his decision making in recent weeks and done a better job in coverage.     

 

The last two weeks are his best back to back games in well over a year. There has been a tendency though in the fanbase to say "see, he is a very valuable piece" as if he has been playing that way consistently throughout. Which of course isn't true. If Edmunds had been consistently the player he has been the past two weeks then a lot of the arguments about him would never have existed. But he hasn't been and that inconsistency has led to debates about his value and his role.

He doesn't comment on every player. I usually post snippets of every player he talks about. Beasley wasn't one of them this week.
