I ain't complaining, but he has to be one of the best values on the team.  Give the man a little green and keep him next to Johnson and White for three years.  Might not take too much.  He gives up a little, but almost always is doing the right thing.  Love the guy.

if we can get Wallace on a good deal that would be fantastic.  The secondary was all on the same page last night.  Playing together for about 3 years now and were able to contain all the KC weapons even on a play where Mahomes had 8 seconds to throw.

People on this board always expect a CB2 to play like a CB1 which is just not realistic.

Half the people are crazy 80% of the time.  Doing my best Yogi Berra.  He has held off like 4 or 5 competitors, including a former first round pick, a former Pro Bowler and one of our own draft picks.  Pay the man.

I wouldnt mind them giving him a 1-2 year deal.  However, if the Bills think Dane Jackson can play his role next year and possibly work in a rookie the year after, it wouldnt make sense to offer him right now.   For someone like Wallace who is good, but not great you wait and see what the open market brings him because right now you're only competing against yourself.     You gamble on a player like Levi, bet he isnt going to get what he is worth on the market and bring him back at a lower price.

He's having a good year but I think he's still one of our most upgradeable starters. It'd be great if we could resign him to a cheap 2 year deal and then draft and develop a corner with higher upside.

I think he's definitely valuable, but you can't pay everyone. If he's willing to take a cheap deal, go for it. 

We need to do a better job of investing in the CB position in the draft though, soon.

 

Not enough quality depth. Rounds 3-7 would love to see at least another 1-2.

Yes, but according to Collinsoworthless, those 8 seconds of throwing time were all about great protection from his OLine and had little to do with fine secondary play.

We were able to get him back dirt cheap this year for a reason and pretty sure we can do the same next year if need be.

 

Either way I still think CB is a position that needs to be upgraded in the offseason, likely in the draft.

I believe that is his worth on the FA market as of now.

We can’t pay everyone.  
 

Levi has been great this season.  The improved DL has made a positive impact on his play.  If he’d be happy with 3-4M a year and Beane is ok paying him that much, I could see it working.

good debate - paying Levi a FA market value, versus say drafting a CB in the first or second round and saving x amt  ???

 

can we pay two starting boundry CBs that much as well as what we are going to pay Taron as the NCB...hey its a passing league so why not

 

can you pay the DBs all that much and all those DLs that we rotate as well as Milano and Tremaine's big contract...and thats only the D !?!?!

 

there has to be a limit and someone is going to walk at some point
