RobbRiddick Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 It was wonderful, truly wonderful, and I don't just mean that in a creepy sexual way. When he did it against the Vikings it had the desired effect (he's talked about this since) of getting his teammates behind him and believing he is willing to do anything to get a win. I always thought he'd do it again in a Super Bowl, and it would become a modern day Elway Helicopter. Maybe he will, but when he did it last night it just made me smile like a kid. Not only was it the moment when I finally thought "nah, these guys aren't going to have some miraculous comeback today", but, from a more selfish and superficial standpoint, I was just happy that he did something like that on national TV with Mahomes on the sideline. Kind of a ***** you to the people constantly ball washing Mahomes, knowing it will be shown again and again this week (I'm sure it will win the Angry Runs on GMFB). It was a real "THAT'S MY QUARTERBACK!" moment and I didn't feel in the least bit stupid sitting in my chair, grinning like a proud parent Quote

Let's see how far this season's Chargers go before he starts getting anointed as the NEW Josh Allen. Quote

Normally that's a good way to get hurt, but Josh seems to have the knack for sure! Puts out the hand to try and get a hold of the defender's helmet - leapfrog style! Just great awareness. Awesome mechanics...how do you synchronize your limbs to be that effective...I mean you need the legs to kick and jump; one hand to hold the ball tightly and then other hand to use as leverage against the down player.....truly unbelievable Quote
Success Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 I mean, that kind of play - from the QB - can lift an entire team, and beyond just one game. What a huge play. We really needed that 3rd down, and he wasn't going to be denied. Quote

On a first down, you don't want your QB doing this. On a third down, when you need to gain the line, one is OK with this. And this is why his teammates love Josh. How's Lander these days? You getting your first decent snow tomorrow? 3 hours ago, Jobot said: Allen had the scariest killer instinct look to him on the hurdle drive.. If he somehow figures a way to summon that attitude on command, my god.. he's going to be unstoppable. Agree, Josh had the angry run look the entire drive. 3 Quote

BigDingus Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 In the words of Jeff Van Gundy - "If I'm L'Jarius Sneed, I'm naming my first son Josh Allen." *For those that don't get my corny reference - Quote

I can live with that. Quote

Been a nice fall, though. Quote
