It was impressive that he and his staff kept that team focused on the task at hand during a 1 hour break.  Cannot say anything remotely negative tonight about McD.

I can. His claps sounded weird in the rain. Needs a hand towel nearby for crisper clapping.

I wanted Allen off the field after that late fumble recovery, but that's just picking nits.

He's just crushing virtually every aspect of his job .

Whether it's preparation, game management, keeping guys focused, whatever, he's owning it all.

His guys don't get distracted by weird stuff (i.e. officiating, weather, turnovers, etc) and just keep executing instead.

He gooses Daboll when he needs to.

He works clocks like a 20 year vet.

Everybody trusts everybody else.

He makes sure Beane understands exactly what he needs.

The team is always getting better.

He makes Leslie Frazier an even better coach.

He's a viable Coach of the Year candidate moving forward.

I hear he makes an amazing shrimp Alfredo as well.

And the King of the gamesmanship timeouts.  So good at calling one in big moments on D so the other offense has to then bring out their second best play if you know I mean.  He did it tonight and I could see the look on Mahomes’ face because he knew exactly what happened.

With the Bills up early, but the team committing stupid penalties and getting into shoving matches and such, I texted a friend, McD needs to get this team calmed down and focused. They were over-hyped. He seemed to do that in spades. I thought it was, overall, a masterful coaching effort by all involved.

He's really grown as a coach too. He is no longer conservative, relies on analytics, has changed his own attitude (he said he had to loosen up).

I think the big thing I'm seeing this year is a killer instinct. I feel like he's put an edge on this team now.  That defense isn't just good, but they have some real nastiness to them.

Then the game ends and their like, "On to next week".

You don't think Rex could've done that? Lol

I think it was super fortunate that no major coaches/coordinators were poached from the Bills. Having Daboll and all the major components of the staff back for another season has created a rare sense of continuity that just doesn't exist in the modern NFL. McD and this team are definitely running on all cylinders. The team is coming off its fourth straight 3 possession win and this time it comes against a good team on the road. I know Chris Jones being out puts a damper on it a bit but hey everyone has people missing. You had a fluky delay and you still didn't let anything fluky happen.

One other thing, McDermott and Frazier are brilliant. The Bills didn't blitz Mahomes once this game. They took the '2 deep' strategy that everyone has been talking about against Mahomes and improved it. They always seem to manage to find a defensive gameplan that works.

KC rans almost 80 plays. I know it's crazy, but I think they almost tried a 'reverse' ball control strategy. Make KC's offense stay on the field as long as possible before they score instead of trying to have their offense stay on the field.
