The Frankish Reich Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 So what have we learned this afternoon? 1. That the 3 teams we've beaten suck. Like really, really suck. 2. That the AFC East 2021 is just like the AFC East for the last 20 years, except that now we're the Pats and the Pats are the Bills (or maybe the Dolphins) 3. That the one team we've beaten doesn't really suck after all. The Steelers made the Broncos (3-1, after beating maybe the 3 worst teams in the NFL) look like total garbage. They may be the best of the mediocre teams. 2 Quote
Roundybout Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Danny Dimes just got his freaking bell rung. What the heck is this playcalling on the goal line? Quote

Chase looks like he will be a game changer for the rest of his career. O-line is more about the whole than the individual. Even if Sewell is an upgrade at OT for them that doesn't mean their o-line would suddenly be good enough. It would upgrade exactly one spot on the line. Bringing in Chase has possibly immediately given them an elite WR corps. I still disagree from a strategic perspective. Not keeping Burrow clean is hurting them. I feel like I have seen this story before and it was called Andrew Luck. Chase is excellent. It was never about that. Edited October 10, 2021 by GunnerBill 1 Quote

Big money to a position that they could get production from with a later pick/cheaper option. Instead they set themselves up to live and die by 1 player's health at a position that takes the most punishment. Could say that about a lot of "HOF" coaches...including our own Marv Levy. I totally agree, but Jim Kelly was no Brady. The dude is inhuman. I will say that I’m not as high on Marv as some on here are. When it counted the most, he could never get his team together. 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Just now, Aussie Joe said: They pay him $12M a year.. not much more than what the Bills are paying Milano.. I doubt that contract is their issue.. he is by far the biggest postive they have... Where does what the Bills pay Milano (by the way, a LBer...not a RB.) have to do with anything? 12M/year is ludicrous for a RB in today's NFL. And yes, more money here does equal less money elsewhere to upgrade the team. Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 First Geno Smith and now we have Mike Glennon for the Giants. Who’s next? Quote

I always gave Marv credit for being able to handle so many star players in that day and age. He was a leader. But the whole X's and O's side...not sure he was HOF worthy there 1 1 Quote

Like I said originally... he is the one exception to paying a RB going around at the moment... If you dont think he is worth the money then its no skin off my nose.. their fans seem ok with it though from what I can tell... Quote
