Geno looked much better than I would have ever guessed when he came into the game.  That being said, it’s a lot easier as a backup to have a spark in a game then it is to start a game where you gotta play well for 60 min against a team whose game planned for you.

So will be interesting to see how he does, my expectations are low.  But I’ll give him credit for providing a spark and looking pretty good last game coming in for Russel.  They moved the ball better with Geno then they did with Wilson.  But I don’t expect that trend to continue.

So IMO, I think it’s safe to say the playoff ship has sailed for the Seahawks this year given the strength of their division and no Russ for 6-8 weeks.

Well, lol he did outlast EJ, so........

Disagree. I think he could win at least half the games if not more. Tribuski has had good seasons already and has taken Chicago to the playoffs. He might not be a top ten qb but he is a starter in this league.

He had one good season.  No team in the NFL considers him a starter, hence he’s on the Bills roster.

what does this mean?  some team is about to bench their starter and trade for Mitch?

no that means he is on a one year deal. I believe he is better than some current starters so imo he is a starter in this league and probably will be on another team next season.

There are always teams looking. Are you trying to tell me he is worse than Mills or Tyrod Taylor? Is he worse that Fitzpatrick or Heinike? There are teams out there with worse starters. If you think he is worse than QBs like that then it’s not worth discussing with you anymore.

Definitely worse than Fitz (a starter).

Taylor was signed as Watson's backup, named starter days before week 1 when Texans decided not to play Watson.  Mills is Taylor's backup (i.e. Houston's 3rd string QB going into the season).  Heinike is Fitz's backup.  So....none are "starters in this league".

So, no, Mitch isn't worse than some other teams' backup QBs.  I'll agree to that, because it's a true statement.

ok man. We’ll see next year when he is a starter somewhere. I’m done with this convo now.

Seattle just gonna role with genoooooo?

Lol, maybe the "fallout" (if one calls it that) with RW and Hawks in the off season is why he assumes RW will move on? idk

File this under "I guess anything's possible..."

I think it is possible on this schedule. We just don't have that many good teams left to play. Trubisky took advantage of a relatively weak schedule to go 6-4 quarterbacking a worse team than the 2021 Bills last season.

no kidding, lo.

Maybe he can be a starter in Chicago....they need a new one, no?

I get that but the Seahawks don’t have a better alternative at QB, and I can’t see Russ looking at that Miami team as a better alternative for him. He wants a better OL as I recall and theirs might be the worst in the league

Yeah agree. I mean who knows what happens with RW, in any event, yeah I feel 100% sure Hawks will not be rolling with Geno as the starter

yes, but the premise was if they go 4-4 with him playing 8.  What if they are the last 8?  And what if the Bills lose one with Josh before Trubisky takes over?  11-6 and a rusty JA is a lot less "in it" than 15-2 healthy JA  and home field.

He'd still be capable of 4-4 in the final 8. Jets, Falcons, Pats twice, Colts, Saints.... he finds 4 wins in there. It would be less ideal going in but as far as backup positions go the Bills are in as good of one as it is possible to be and on this schedule I think Trubisky in any 8 game stretch is at least a .500 QB.
