Lots of accomplishments under McClappy and Beano..playoffs first year, excellent calculated moves to get a  franchise qb, solid roster building thru good drafting, smart FA moves, resigning own pending FAs, positive team culture, etc

but winning a big game on the road, esp the playoffs is missing....

at Jax - the Tyrod Taylor no touchdown game

at Hou - second-half lead blown, do I say choked-away in OT

at KC - AFC championship game - not competitive

regular season wins at Ten, Pit, NE, Dallas (Thanksgiving) and LV over the years are fine and dandy, but the next step has to be winning a big game on the road, that piece of the championship puzzle is missing...

I think the Thanksgiving game was a pretty big one. They absolutely embarrassed Dallas on national TV. It made Josh a household name and showed the Bills were indeed for real that year

Destroying NE*** on MNF was finally beating big brother. It was needed

I'd say the next step is getting home field and say the heck with winning on the road

The one that matters at the end is a road game no matter what, so I would certainly want to win that one.

Yes, the beat down we put on NE, in Foxboro, was my personal highlight of the 2020 regular season. It was a relaxing night of bourbon and smiles.

And seeing Belicheat smash a phone was way awesome too!

There have been several “big wins”.  They’ve won the Division. They’ve won in the playoffs.  They’ve come from behind, blown teams out.  Pretty much every bar that someone now comes up with to be hurdled, so you can finally be convinced the Bills are a good team... has been crossed.

If you need more evidence at this point, you have the hurdle to cross.. not the team.  Get over it. The Bills are a good team.

They won’t win every week. They won’t break every record.  But they’re still one of the best teams in the league and have been playing like that for quite some time now.   Enjoy it.

Here's the way I see it, by winning big games on the road in the regular season....you save yourself the trouble of having to do it in the playoffs and the Bills made no secret that the goal was to get home field throughout this year so they don't have to go to KC or another tough venue in the playoffs this year.

So yes beating KC (and possibly TEN as well) would be a huge road win and essentially give the Bills a clear path to the #1 seed since a lot of the other contenders (specifically in the AFCW & AFCN) are going to be beating eachother up the rest of the way and the Bills schedule is soft on paper after the next two weeks.

The other good part of the Dallas win is I get four solid years of bragging rights over all the Cowgirls fans I work with. Haranguing them from time to time is good fun….for me. When we win a SB it will take away their final retort😎

Since 2017 they've had big road wins every year (17 Atlanta, 18 Min, 19 DAL, 20 NE/SF/LV). If at this point you are still looking for proof of them being legit idk what to tell you

   Great point.

The thing is, for those of us who watched 4 SB losses, a Super Bowl win is really the Only thing that will finally give us peace.
I’ve never actually realized till just now but the biggest emotion I will feel when the Bills win their first Super Bowl will be relief. And, it will be by a wide margin over any other emotion. I’m sure I’m not alone in this camp.

Dallas was a big game that season as it was a game that all but clinched a playoff spot (it pushed them to 9-3 with a tough schedule ahead) and put the Bills on the map on national television.

But the Bills do need that big road statement win. KC would be a good place to start.

Completely agree.  We all want a Super Bowl win.  However, there’s a lot of football between now and then that we should enjoy.  And to continually move the goalposts on what this team needs to do to be considered good, just seems like deep rooted BBFS that we as a fan base need to let go of.

Dallas on Thankgiving without a doubt.  Kicking NE's butt in Foxboro was totally satisfying, but the Dallas game with it's huge national audience really put them on the map (recently of course).

This team is better than good. Anyone on here claiming otherwise is just a LAMPing troll.

Oh wow, what a shock, another 'lets find an issue' thread.

Some of you would be best served picking peanuts out of poop. At least then you'd have a reason and purpose.

You are missing the original poster's point of the thread.  Sure winning in the playoffs was great.  Beating the Colts (in a great game) and the Ravens was awesome.  (I felt a great sense of relief and joy after the Colts' playoff game)  And the NE dismantling in Foxboro late last season was so sweet.  But KC has been the best team in the AFC the past few years.  And going in there and laying the wood to them would go a long way in making a statement to the rest of the league that the AFC Championship is going thru Buffalo this year.

Winning is fun.  But crushing the Fish 35-0 and the Texans 40-0 is like Alabama crushing Kentucky and Missouri.  Its nice.  But that's not what they hand the trophy's out for at the end of the season.

I guess how do you define big game. Winning at New England was a big step and winning at Dallas on national TV was a gigantic step.

Hopefully we won't have to figure out how they deal with a road playoff game for a while and that all roads to the SB go through Western NY
