Last year I would’ve been all about it, however from what I saw during preseason I think there is finally some solid depth at LB. If Jaylon Smith played at virtually any other program than Notre Dame, and then was drafted by almost any other team than Dallas, nobody would want anything to do with bringing in a player who’s been labeled low effort, especially to a Super Bowl contender.

Once a guy become synonymous with not giving it 100 or taking plays off, their career is basically a wrap.

Some guys just need a change of scenery. 

 

There are quite a few, but the most infamous "low-effort" player was Randy Moss.

 

Also, the Chiefs just signed Josh Gordon.

 

Not to mention this guy is on his third team.
