I watched the documentary about the construction of SoFi Stadium on the Science channel and all I can say is, what a testament to engineering it is. Just an amazing piece of work.

It truly is an amazing place.  You can almost see why the Chargers abandoned the few fans they had to live up there as squatters.

these guys are paid for their ability to talk out of their arses nonstop.  he'll be saying the same thing about Allen when he's calling his game.

Also, it's not a domed stadium.  It's a covered, open-aired, stadium.  Lightning could still easily enter the field and remains dangerous, but the rest of the elements are kept out.  It's pretty easy to understand if you're not a moron like Gruden.

Apparently, they tried moving fans to the concourses during the delay. If it's open on the sides, I imagine you'd want to keep fans in the stands away from the openings. The logistics don't make much sense.

I'm guessing they'll put some lightning rods on top of the roof after this...

If he continues to play like he is, he is a lock for the HoF.  But he’ll probably get even better.

Leaving Josh out of the mix is questionable,

but I believe that Herbert will likely be sitting next to Mahomes and Allen for the next 10+years.  I couldn’t be happier that Miami took Tua.  Sucks for Yahomie

Schefter is a lock for the "Hack Hall Of Fame".

Hes really turned into a tool. Read an article on him having a business that took bets with Kraft. Dude went from a lock, to an attention hoe, to less credible alllll the way down right untrustworthy. Huge conflict of interest. Idc what he says, and he's been wrong a ton lately. Anything he says I have to wonder how is he spinning this to make $, cause there's an angle 👎

You started to see the true Schefter when JPP had his fireworks mishap and he started releasing JPP's medical info. Since then he's just slowly evolved into the clown show you see now.

Funny they left the fans in the stands then.   It is a beautiful stadium.  I'd love to see a Bills game there someday.

The Bills will be playing there on February 13th.

I saw the piece. It was Steve Young who chimed in a few minutes later about Josh Allen -- and he clarified that he would place Allen in a different category than Herbert or Mahomes because both of them were outstanding right away, whereas everyone knew that Allen came into the league so raw. Young said Josh has grown by leaps and bounds and that he will continue to do so -- essentially said that he has a limitless ceiling.

I'd love to go.  I also wanted to see the Bills play in Vegas but COVID blew that one up.  I've been lucky that the Bills have played in Nashville the last few years which is only a two hour drive for us.  We'll be there in two weeks for that game.  We haven't been out West in quite a few years.  A Bills game would be a nice excuse.  🙂

Not denying Herbert’s talent, but Shefter is a tool. Declaring Herbert a HOF lock after 19 games, with a 9-10 record at the time the statement was made, is hyperbolic buffoonery.

Schefter made this pronouncement in the pregame commentary when the start of the game was delayed 30 minutes for a thunder storm.  (A $5 BILLION dome stadium and they can't play in it during a thunder storm?  What the h*ll?)

He also said during the same soliloquy that Mahomes and Herbert were the two best young QBs in the NFL and would be the choices of any NFL GM looking to start a franchise.

I'm not here to put down Mahomes or Herbert, I agree with Schefty that they are amazing young QBs.   I don't need to put them down to believe that Josh is fantastic too.  Was Schefty just throwing a hot take out there on the fly and just overlooked Allen, or does he really put Mahomes and Herbert in a different tier than Allen?

I think Allen legitimately deserves to be in the conversation for best young NFL QB.  I would put Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Watson all in that group.  Watson obviously has some issues that could derail his career, and I could see some people leaving him out of that conversation right now because of it.  I'm not going to get mad about someone believing that Allen isn't the best of the three, but for Josh to not even earn an honorable mention is a bit strange.

For my money, I wouldn't trade Allen for either of them.  That's not a knock on Mahomes or Herbert, I just have a huge amount of faith in Josh and believe he has the traits to be an all-time great QB.  I also believe Josh's DNA fits Buffalo far better than either of the other two guys would.

No disrespect to Josh but I’d carry him on my back and walk from Buffalo to KC for Mahomes.

Allen hasn’t looked good this season.

I know people will make a million and one excuses for it but he just seems “off”. It’s frustrating.

I really like Allen but he is nowhere near Mahomes level, and I fear that Herbert is surpassing him as well.

I'm more baffled by the delay of game...

Is it be cause the side of the stadium is open?

Yeah. Apparently it’s a “canopy” not a real roof/dome.

They mentioned Josh Allen a few minutes later, and Schefter clarified that Josh Allen belongs there too, but they were discussing young QB's that came onto the scene firing on all cylinders - whereas Josh was developed into the guy he is now.

Hebert was firing on all cylinders... Schefter forgot about the Chargers patriots game last year.

Someone needs to remind Shefter that Mahomes got to sit for an entire year.

Well Allen sat for the 1st half of his 1st game, that's about the same!! LOL

Mahomes did though come out firing on all cylinders immediately as a starter whereas it took Allen two full seasons to get there, so is a difference.
