CorkScrewHill Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 "Ace Per Head" - Dolphins Talk guy discusses some concerns coming out of the Miami area as conflicts between the GM and HC develop. Story coming out that Flores preferred Herbert to Tua. In addition, Flores / Gailey did not think Tua was ready last year .. yet he was started. Love that McDermott and Beane are soooo in synch. 5
ProcessAccepted Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 This guy makes decent content. Not your typical Phins fan boy that makes content from a cloud of delusion.

They are a mess. If this is accurate and Flores was advocating for Herbert, can you imagine what this team would've been with him as he could've covered up a lot of messes. Not that I wanted that one.
Don Otreply Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 It’s pretty obvious that Flores didn’t like Tua as a starter, his flaws were and are all to apparent , nice to see more internal tension on our opponents teams, 😁👍 2 1
BruceVilanch Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 He's worth watching, haven't watched this particular video but he does put out solid content

As for the decision to start Tua over Fitz, that was definitely a head scratcher...Lol, maybe Flores did it just to try and make a point? Edited October 1, 2021 by Sheneneh Jenkins

I know several dolfans and they can't stand Ross.

Sharky7337 Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Theyre just looking for people to blame..before they all reported Ross forced them to draft Tua.
benderbender Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 It is awesome to not have drama like that in the organization for a change. Feels almost refreshing to poke fun at other teams misery. And I wouldn’t even say that Beane and McDermott are in sync as much as they share a common goal and know each other’s preferences/abilities. They’re not step brothers, but i’d like to imagine they are. 1
gjv Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I think the only thing preventing Ross from demanding Grier deal for Watson is the uncertainty of Watsons ever playing again. Should Watson put his legal issues behind him, Grier will have to obtain Watson or find another job.
BigAl2526 Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 The Dolphins have been dysfunctional since Adam Gase was hired as head coach. The Jets have been dysfunctional since Rex Ryan was head coach, and so far conclusive evidence that it's over is lacking. Things are getting more dysfunctional by the minute at Foxboro. Meanwhile at OBD things are humming along like a well oiled machine. 3 2

Hindsight is 20/20. Of course everyone wanted Herbert. Of course Tua wasn't ready last year. 2

Even Herbert would look like donkey-doo behind that line. Thats the problem. That and they signed a WR that doesn't play..... 1
JohnNord Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I’ve been following this story quite a bit as members of my family are Dolphins fans. The entire handling of Tua has been completely odd right down to putting him on IR for an injury that was listed day-to-day. What is strange is the Miami fan base who seems completely delusional. Most are completely behind Tua and think that the OL and lack of running game has let him down. If I had to take a poll, I’d guess somewhere in the high 60%’ would take Tua over DeShaun Watson. They are cool with Flores but want Grier fired for his bad drafting. 1
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 They seem to be teetering on edge of being good to falling over the cliff. Seems like an awful lot of turnover on the roster from year to year. Flores seems to be a solid coach although I must say that having two OCs this year is head scratching at best and don’t see Tua getting better at lol this year or the future. Looks like back to the QB dart board again!

I agree with you that their OL is struggling, however I do think Herbert would still do better than Tua behind that bad OL.
