Last year there were 13 different players who caught a TD during regular season tying the 2016 Falcons:

  1. Josh Allen (1) - from Isaiah McKenzie
  2. Stefon Diggs (8)
  3. Gabriel Davis (7)
  4. Isaiah McKenzie (5)
  5. Cole Beasley (4)
  6. John Brown (2) - gone
  7. Jake Kumerow (1)
  8. Tyler Kroft (3) - gone
  9. Dawson Knox (3)
  10. Lee Smith (2) - gone
  11. Reggie Gilliam (1)
  12. Zack Moss (1)
  13. T.J. Yeldon (1) - gone

This year so far:

  1. Emmanuel Sanders (2)
  2. Dawson Knox (2)
  3. Zack Moss (1)
  4. Stefon Diggs (1)
  5. Gabriel Davis (1)

McKenzie and Beasley will get some.

All four TEs caught one last year and that is unusual for our offense.

Matt Breida has caught 4 in his career, all with 49ers.

Devin caught 2 his first year when Josh did not have many targets.

I hope Bills plan on some special plays for special teams.  Maybe a fake FG (for a TD) on short field when Bills had game under control like Washington game to get something opposing teams need to spend time on planning to defend.

How many different players for Bills will catch TDs this year?

IMO based on composition and number of easier games maybe 10.

That would be something to see.  I do expect an OT (or maybe even 2) get a TD.

Yup. Can't wait to see the Shnow man TD celebration. 😉

I did notice that the big rookie Spencer Brown reported as eligible yesterday.  Brown was converted to tackle from tight end in college. 6-8 is a nice target in close. Also think Kumerow could be effective posting up a slot db in close.

I did too.  It will happen when needed!

In addition to the 5 who already done it, we have:

6- Beasley- lock

7- McKenzie- lock

8- Singletary- very likely

9- Sweeney- probably

10- Kumerow- probably (may take a WR injury)

11- Breida- possible

12- Josh- maybe

13- Gilliam- maybe

14- Spencer Brown or other O-lineman- slight possibility

15- Taiwan Jones- slight possibility

He has been since game 1. He is playing the role of the Lee Smith blocking TE.

I want him to play the role of the Lee Smith catching TD TE.

coulda hade it last year but elite god tier gunner Taiwan jones dropped a TD against NE

He definitely took a lot of crap for that, and rightfully so. Wide open, hit him right in the hands, and bounced right off of him. But I hadnt realized until now that Singletary wasnt on the list at all. THAT is even more deserving of criticism than our #4RB/Special Teams Ace imo.

Or even better the Butch Rolle blocking/TD catching TE.  made 11 catches from 87-91, including 10 straight receptions for TD's

Spencer Brown has a better chance than Gilliam. We saw how little speed he had on that wheel route. Please Dabs don't ever run that Patrick DiMarco fly route again.

I've seen the Matt Breida chunk plays for years but was surprised to learn recently how infrequently he hits the end zone - only twice going back to his last season in SF, zero TDs while in Miami. Barring injury (please no) I'm not sure how likely it is that he'll see it again. Seems he's primarily a special teamer now with emergency RB capabilities. I could honestly see Gilliam getting one before him. Some 2-yard dink from Josh for example.
