Virgil Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) My family is coming up to the Texans game and I want to make sure we are prepared for stadium entry. I know that you can bring your vaccination card, but did anyone use the Clear App? Also, did they check your ID to see if it matched the vaccination information? Any insight would be helpful. Also, does anyone know if the field house is open for all the kid activities? Edited September 27, 2021 by Virgil 1
Juan Nightstand Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 They were not checking IDs with the vaccine card for myself and my brother. My brother is 15 and doesn't have a license, so we brought his passport worried he'd have trouble with just the paper vaccine card, but no issues and they didn't even ask to see the passport. I used the Excelsior app and they gave it a quick glance over and that was that. 3 1
RiotAct Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 they were not checking ID’s, just a quick glance at your card or app and you were good to go. 2 1
Triplez47888 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 I used the NYS excelsior app and my ID and it took about 5 seconds. I’m not familiar with the clear app but I would imagine it would be sufficient if it is similar to excelsior. I also entered the stadium at 11 and there wasn’t a noticeable increase in the amount of time it took to get in compared to when I went for the season opener. 1
aceman_16 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 It was easy.....think of a 2 window service at McDonald's lol (one looks at the paper or phone and the other your ticket).
billsfanmiamioh Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Lines were long but verification took about 3 seconds using clear app. 1
PolishDave Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Easy-peasy. Just walked through the gate holding vaccination card facing toward screeners. They just glanced at it. I kept walking. No delay at all. Took all of 5 minutes to get into the stadium at around 12:35. 1
CSBill Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Very easy, no delay from it. Have your card (or App), show it, and move through.

JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 I too showed my physical card but was not asked to provide an ID verifying it was mine and I am me. So it could have been anyone's. And it could have been fake. Was I 100% confident that everyone in attendance was in fact vaccinated? Based on my own entrance experience, no I was not. Did I still wear a mask in the concourses and bathrooms? Yeah. 2
Saxum Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 They should be spot checking inside the gate and enforce rules (including bans) to get rule respected. 2 1 2

I'd be interested in knowing if any fans at all got turned away for lack of proof. 1
LabattBlue Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 If someone from the county DOH sees this, and it gets bumped up the food chain, you can bet that the verification process will get more strict as the season progresses.
BillsfaninSB Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 It was the first time. I wouldn’t be surprised if they enhance the screening process based on what they learned. I would still bring ID and give yourself extra time just in case. 1

I'm pretty sure the bills were the one that made the mandate The bills and Erie county made a joint statement.. but something tells me Erie county didn't push anything Cuz Erie county's open with outdoor venue's Edited September 27, 2021 by Buffalo716 1

Yep...the blabbers always shoot themselves (and everyone else) in the foot. Here's the story people "Everything went fine and everyone followed protocol to a tee!! 🙂🙂🙂" Get it right. 1 1
quinnearlysghost88 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 my gate was a little more hectic
