62-74 record without Brady as his starting QB.

The man is not what people say he is.

Please.  Just stop

C'mon man!! 🙄 You could say this about many coaches. If the dog beat your dad over the fence you'd be a puppy or something like that. 😃

Every coach needs to a good QB to excel or an otherwise uber-talented roster.

OK.

So Belichick is just like any coach.

Glad you could admit it.

I've never thought that highly of him. And he's a cheater.

But I don't think the record says anything significant.

I will say the mysticism/invulnerability the Patriots had going for them is definitely gone now, they're human again.

Vince Lombardi sucked without an HOF QB
Bill Walsh sucked without an HOF QB
Bill Cowher sucked without an HOF QB

Both John  Gruden and Joe Gibbs win super bowls without HOF QBs.  Based on TBD statistical theories, the key is find a coach whose initials are JG

Thing is over the years he has made some just terrible game day calls that would have sunk any other team. Having Brady (under discount conditions no less) for years bailed him out. Having good players in their prime sign for less to chase a ring with Brady helped immensely as well.

Now that he doesn't have those luxuries you can see he is mortal after all.

If the Bills were searching for a head coach, and you took Belichick's time without Brady into consideration, would you be clamoring for him to be hired as our head coach?
