So has "Reverend Rhule" and his faith based brigade changed your opinion about christian leadership in football?

Rhule really wanted Jack Easterby...........if he had a QB like DeShaun Watson at the time then maybe Easterby goes there instead of Houston. 😉

Haha. My view has never been god fearing men can't be good coaches. See exhibit A - Sean McDermott. The issue with Easterby is he is a crank and incompetent. Unfortunately he can't separate the football and the non-football.

I think the Panthers are gonna be good, make the playoffs, and will extend Darnold after the season. I have had them as a playoff team the whole way. Very good young roster - oline is the only obvious weakness on paper and they have played better than expected up front through two weeks.

I would love for this to happen.  The Jets can stay in the cellar for awhile.

Look at Tannehill when he escaped Gase in Miami. Look at Darnold now that he escaped Gase in NY. The Jets are gonna Jets and they have been an exercise in futility since their little run with Rex. But Adam Gase has to be one of the worst HC'ing hires ever made by an organization, and it happened twice. The Jets as a whole just can't seem to get anything right really. They whiff on all the big FA's they chase for their OL and then settle for mediocre. The big names they do sign who could possibly make an impact either end up mailing it in after getting that $$$ or they end up on IR. Curse, voodoo, blatant stupidity, idk, but they're still a dumpster fire over there.

So update

He's been active two games and has played a total of 10 snaps and zero tackles, assists, etc.

He's also out this week with a knee injury.

Good chance if the Bills want him back he'll be a season end cut by the Panthers.  Basically could give the Bills a free 6th rounder

His ST’s contribution was well regarded.

It took Wyatt Teller 2years in Cleveland to play well.

There is still time.

True, but for every Wyatt Teller there are 10 players that if they haven't shown anything by year two, they never do.

Daryl Johnson has shown enough to get a 6th in a trade.

but yes, players usually have until the end of their rookie deal, unless they are 1st round picks.

It’s a good point, I agree, the book is not written on Johnson.

He has the size.

Panthers have a solid defensive front, so it’s not surprising. He would’ve sat in Buffalo this year as well. We have multiple 2nd round DEs that aren’t even active.

In Buffalo yes, apparently not so much in Carolina as only active two games and 10 snaps and sounded like they were on the D line, not ST.

Actually 5 snaps each game on defense and 4 and then 9 on STs.

Our special teams suck with or without him

Bass is the only player on teams doing well

You’re right I mean their punt coverage unit isn’t like #1 in the league and kickoff coverage in the top half 🤦‍♂️.  Their kickoff returns aren’t 2nd in the league.  The special teams just suck.

Tyler Bass isn’t leading the league in points or a top 5 FG kicker.  Punting is the one spot they could get better, but as they are #1 in fewest punt return yards against - it looks like they value hang time over distance - which is the right call.

🤷‍♂️
