That’d save a lot of time and aggravation. Someone buy OBD a Directv subscription! Chiefs and Rams, and you've got enough, week in and week out. And it doesn't even matter if the coordinators around the league know he's doing it, because they'd have to a game plan for the Bills PLUS what the Chiefs do PLUS what the Rams do. It would be an impossible task.

You're telling me that Know can't run out five yards and turn around? Really? This is the NBA. The NFL is way more about play design and way less about players. It’s more about how the defense reacts and spaces themselves accordingly. Kelce needs attention and that opens space for other guys…Knox isn’t viewed the same way so he’s less able to create those opportunities. 2
HappyDays Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 (edited) I think the predictability in the offense comes from the fact that we almost always design plays to go to the WRs. Knox and Singletary are just check down options 90% of the time. We had one swing pass to Moss yesterday which looked effective right up until he fumbled it. The Patriots killed us with those routes for years. Singletary/Knox are not on the same level as White/Gronkowski but we could at least make an effort to get them involved. If defenses are forced to start actually paying attention to them that will start to open up the routes to Diggs/Beasley and then the passing offense will be truly unpredictable. We need to punish defenses that sell out to take our receivers out of the game. That's how the Chiefs made our offense look pedestrian in the AFCCG and other defenses have picked up on it. Daboll and Allen need to change it up. Edited September 21, 2021 by HappyDays 2
Don Otreply Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Shaw, nice write up, concise and to the point, on all the points, we will struggle a bit , but if all goes to plan, we will reap the benefits of coach McDermott way. Again thanks, good read,

Daboll and Allen need to change it up. This. Plus the lack of any type of consistent run game. Teams like the Chiefs (and Pittsburgh) can play dime against us all day or even 7 DBs, and not get burnt. Start breaking off some runs and a short quick passing game with bubble screens and swing passes, what other teams have to defend changes, and then what our receivers and OL have to overcome changes.
