Coach Tuesday Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 I am not exactly sure what this means. That said - for the Dolphins, getting demolished by a division rival in their home opener like that is potentially a huge turning point/setback for the organization. Not sure where they go from here. Think about this: they spent all offseason working on their defense solving Josh Allen and then lost 35-0 without Allen doing too much. Now they have to fix their entire offense, too. They're pretty screwed and it's a huge bonus for the Bills. 4 3 4
Rocky Landing Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Is the Tanya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan reference a prediction that Mitch is going to have Josh knee-capped??? 6

Or did you not get the Kerrigan/Hardy reference?

You can look up the whole story if you are interested, but basically Harding knew she couldn't beat Kerrigan on the ice so she hired a hitman to take out her knee (was it with a tire iron or something like that?) Anyway- the first Fins fan was suggesting they would have to take out Josh Allen to have a chance to beat the Bills. The second Fins fan reminded him that they scored zero points and Mitch Trubisky would have still beaten them. 2 2

I think it means they push even harder for Watson… Good point- I was hoping they would hold onto hope and waste a few good years with Tua at the helm, but this game probably blew the top off of that. Now we can hope that they waste picks trading for Watson only to find out he will never play another down. 2

Pretty sure I heard the preliminary discussions about trades involved draft pick protections against drastic circumstances that would lead to him not playing.
May Day 10 Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 It wasn't a cheap hit or over-the top unnecessary/rough. Tua got clobbered. If it didn't happen there, it wouldnt have taken long. He was sacked 2 other times in the 1st drive. Brissett was a magician getting out of some pretty dangerous situations. Their pass blocking was non-existent. Even being a magician, Brissett is probably in a tub of ice this morning. 2

They'll definitely have a third QB next time they play us.

Austin Jackson will be dreaming of AJE for weeks. 1

TBBills Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Dolphins will get a renewed hope for the team after they fire the HC and draft a new Bad QB. 1

The minute somebody, anybody tries to activate Watson he’s going on that list.
All_Pro_Bills Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 A known concern about Tua is durability and with multiple first rounders in this year's draft Miami had the opportunity to eliminate that risk and pick a QB. But they choose to roll the dice and use the selections in other areas. That said, no QB is going to survive that type of punishment unless they fix the blocking issues exposed yesterday. Great aggressive defensive game plan and play calling from Frazier here too. And maybe the Dolphins O-line issues are just because the Bills defense is the real deal this year? 1
