I just know if someone is calling for a benching, who is better? Or do you work with him and see how he can improve.

They just played two top defenses, potentially top 50 historically good defenses, and should have won both games, with a struggling offense (that blocked punt team screwed things up). Give them a minute to figure out how they are being played and make adjustments. 1 3

uninja Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 I swear there's some kind of tell our offense has now that there's a year of game tape on them to dissect. Feels like most plays the dl knows how the protection is going to slide before the snap and defenses seem to be able to play coverage well enough to at least force Allen to his 3rd read and beyond. Not sure if we just played some great defenses and/or secondaries, or something else. 3

Nobody seems to be talking about a large chunk of last years O success coming on non- designed rollouts by JA and receivers breaking to the sideline. We have invested a ton on the D line in the last couple years draftwise. Maybe, the calculation, in part, is JA is young and mobile. I would like to see O line addressed early and repeatedly next draft. In the meantime, The Bills O isn’t surprising anyone this year. Can they adjust? We shall see but it’s gonna take a bit. 1

I do agree but maybe teams have picked up on something on how to how to play William's speed rush right around him but I think there is nothing the Bill's can do because of how Dawkins is struggling we can't just line up knox on that side right now. 1

Yikes The Steelers dline, Hayden and Fitzpatrick, no question there IMO if they can stay healthy. The dolphins secondary is really, really good. That one might be a bit of a stretch in terms of top 50, but as far as matchup problems for this Bills offense, I would say absolutely this would be one of the 50 hardest defenses for them to match up against in the history of the league (yes I know how much the game has changed). 4

While Spencer Brown is likely not ready at this point (although he has looked ahead of schedule in a very small sample), it is much more likely he is indeed being groomed as Williams' replacement at RT to be a bookend with Dawkins for years. Dawkins looked much better this week and he's signed through 2024. Dawkins is just 27 and most experts opine he's an above-average LT. It's much more likely Brown is there to eventually replace the older tackle with the shorter contract. 4 3

I thought Spencer Brown would be the right tackle of the future because of him having that reggie white strength he would be more fitted to handle alot of those bigger defensive ends that many teams use on the right side of the lines. 2

I just want to be clear before I comment further. Dolphins was a big stretch, they have a great secondary, which is a matchup challenge for this team, but the Bills ran on them. The Steelers, absolutely I will die on that hill. Three in their prime all pros on the dline, and Hayden and Fitzpatrick in the secondary. If they stay healthy that defense is insanely good.

He might not be that far off with Pittsburgh, but it's a long shot based on Highsmith and players in the secondary beyond Fitzpatrick coming into their own. Dolphins D is a solid D for this year, but poster seems to be basing it on one element, its secondary and arguably they don't even have the best that in the league.
