Marv's Neighbor Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 As I recall, he was fired from SNL because he was making jokes about OJ. At that time, OJ was tight with one/some of the NBC big shots and he went crying to them. 1 Quote

There was that and he often made fun of Hillary too. All very funny, at the time, but "offended" the big guys/donors. Quote

It went on for years and Lorne told him to knock it off, but he kept going every week. 2 1 Quote
ThurmanThomasEnglishMuffin Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 I loved this savage. Nothing was off limits, and this man attacked. Missing that perspective now. RIP sweet prince. You @sshole. 1 1 Quote

I’m not surprised he got canned, nor am I disappointed in him. We all make choices in life, then we live with them. He was one of those “under the radar guys” that I really enjoyed but never really got enough of. 1 1 Quote

I understand that the cast members have some creative control, but couldn't they have just stopped him from doing the jokes? Norm's on the air and can say what he wants if he really wants to, but the graphics guy is certainly going to bow to Lorne. Tell that guy he can't put up any more images of OJ and you've effectively killed the bit. Quote
