Rat-boy Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Dorsey tried to get cute today on that play. 1 1 Quote

John from Riverside Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 I would’ve even been OK if we gave it to one of our power backs Anything other than what we actually did on that play Quote

Any (and I mean ANY) time it's 4th and short (definitely less than 1... 2 or less in certain parts of the field) you don't huddle up... you don't take timeouts... you run up and hike the darn ball and run Allen under center for the 1st down! This has been a huge frustration of mine ever since we've drafted Allen. That's on Daboll... period. Especially with Josh and the backfield pushing his hindquarters. With a yard or less it’s a no brainer. Quote

I'm sick of lining up in Shotgun almost every single 3rd and 4th and short!!! When is McDermott going to realize that Josh is automatic on the QB Sneak?!?! Only pr8oblem there is one Hendon collision where helmets crash with he a von force and you could be looking at a out of commission Franchize qb have the oline to part a hole as if they were Moses parting the red sea. Then you can have any of our backs get the 4th and short without risking Josh's health short and long term. Quote

Our dude is 6’5” 250… it’s a 1000% certainty they convert on 3rd or 4th and 1 or less running a sneak. EVERY EFFING TIME. Maddening to watch Philly do it, yet buffalo wants to get cute… maddening 1 Quote
drab08 Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 why, and most importantly - how - was this revived? I mean, I'm not even mad, I'm impressed (in my best Ron Burgundy) Quote

Maybe it has happened, I'm not sure, but it is not common. Tom Brady did it all the time. If Tom Brady can risk his body to do it, Josh Allen should be able to as well. Quote

Fortunately it wasn't a significant factor this time. 1 1 Quote

There getting 2or 3 yds on the play. Quote

I have no issue in a game that was not close with putting something else on tape for future opponents to gameplan for and think about. Just not sure THAT is the play I'd have put on tape. 17 minutes ago, MJS said: I can't say I've seen a QB injured on a sneak before. Maybe it has happened, I'm not sure, but it is not common.
