Beast Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 As bad as the Bills looked the back breaker was that stupid blocked punt. End of game situation may have been a whole lot different with a different outcome on the scoreboard. Just an ugly day. 5 1

Key dropped passes were devastating. But this is Daboll, he had a whole offseason to come up with a running game and when the bullets started flying, he had no answers and the passing game was worse then last year… The hurry to run the 1st down play before end of the 3rd quarter started the disaster..... That led to the failed 4th down play and the ensuing TD following by the Punt Block. The team did not recover from there. 1

Draconator Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 We looked bad for a lot of the time, but I'm glad it's out of the way early.
LABILLBACKER Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 We saw and it was crystal clear the offense was flat in the 1st quarter. It pretty much carried thru the whole game. The play calling did not reflect (adjust) to what the Steelers were doing. Daboll/Dorsey struggled. The OL struggled and might be overrated? Steve Carell and his crew leaned toward Pittsburgh. Our new punter screwed up. Defense played admirably until field position hurt them. They gave up 16 today. Alot to clean up for the Miami game. Definitely not an impressive start in front of a packed house.
MWK Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Feliciano still sucks. Knew it was a mistake to keep him despite all of his fanboys who love him because of his “toughness.” Maybe keeping the same mediocre oline was a bad idea. Who would have thought?

Dawkins and White shouldn't be paid in the top 5 of the NFL. Spencer Brown got one rep when Dawkins threw a shoe, and Witherspoon even jumped offside while trying to beat him with a speed rush, and didn‘t. That may be an answer down the line.
Niagara Dude Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Really some terrible play calling today, the 4th down call going for the big play rather just power up and get the first down. That changed the game to the Steelers favour. Then you add trying to run down 10 points on the first & goal with 7 mins, what was he smoking? The end of the day this defence is not good enough to overcome an average offensive production. 1

billieve420 Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Team always plays down to the competition nothing is ever easy. Bills offense sputtered any time it was in Pitt territory. 1

Actually they were a big part of it, calling anything close to a penalty against us, ignoring holding and Pi against Pitt. Possible 14 PT swing taking away the interception when the call should’ve been offensive holding. Still, we made way too many mistakes, but saying officials had no bearing on this game is blatantly false. 1

The Bills went for it later in the game. The points is way more important (field goals) in a defensive battle. McDermott was right going for Field goals. Bill's made way to many mistakes in second half.
