billsfan89 Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Overall a solid half, great defense, solid special teams but mostly bad offense. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league and the Bills got a 10 point lead on them. The offense put together a big driven when they needed it most. Happy to take a two possession lead into the second half against a good team.

L Ron Burgundy Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 So the offense settled down but man our defense may really be considerably better than last year.
Success Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 You can't ask for a more perfect drive. Chew up the last 5 minutes and score w/ seconds left. Great, great 1st half of football. The D is a revelation. 1 2
MPT Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Great throw and catch. Really important TD to end the half.

Maynard Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 I love Gabe. What a throw and what a catch!!!!

CSBill Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Not perfect, but I’ll take it. The D won that half for us. 1

Hopefully the O can pick up 2nd half from that drive. Just win baby anyway anyhow. I'm not looking for style points for the first game of the season. 1
Beast Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 About as frustrated as I can ever remember while being up by 10 at the half. But the defense......wow! 1
Rock-A-Bye Beasley Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 (edited) They never showed the long pass to Davis. They were showing a replay and put the live game in a small corner then never showed a replay. Edited September 12, 2021 by Rock-A-Bye Beasley

Simstim Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Well, sounds like it started badly but improved. This is good. 10-0 is also good. Not exactly easy to follow on here, but kinda fun. But my word, do people get carried away early. From reading the thread so far, if I didn't know the score, I'd have guessed Pittsburgh were winning! 1

HalftimeAdjustment Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Davis should avoid getting hugged by fans. He might catch something other than footballs. 2
Process Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 3 minutes ago, BigDingus said: Steelers have a good pass rush, plus you have to take into account how long he hangs on before the pass. Not saying he's hanging on too long, rather it's taking a while for the receivers to get open or find holes in the coverage. After 3 seconds, I'd expect he's going to get hit more often than not. If it's the receivers that would also be a major issue, considering we are suppose to have the best route running group in the league against a bad secondary.
